Sir, I am trying to get my body like yours. I am half a centimeters from six foot. I weigh 162 pounds. I have alright biceps. I have the egg, the peak when I flex them. I need to know what to eat and I want my back like yours. May you help me? Thank you.
I am trying to make the time to get in shape. People make the time for so many other things. Twenty eight hours of TV per week. If you worked out for 4 times a week for an hour at a time, is that so much?Took the time to prepare your food and you are actually saving time and money.
@Deangelo21530 that's cool...different strokes. Yeah, I really kinda overstated that. But you've heard the phrase, I wouldn't kick him outta bed...? :-)
@mikesomething sorry but there are people predisposed to putting on more weight than others. And that goes for muscle mass too. Not everyone has the same limits and constraints which is the whole idea of "body types." That idea that anyone falls strictly under 1 category is a bit ridiculous but they are just guidelines to go by. The somatotype idea is not really based upon muscle / physical aspects. It was founded by a behavioral psychologist as per your wiki reference.
@thegarbageman21 pshychologist or not, this is where the terms endo, meso, and ecto come from, and they are not true.
yes, some people are prone to gaining more weight than others, but it is a sliding scale, not 3 distinct types, and again, it is not fixed, it can be changed by a persons' habits and efforts.
there are genetic factors, but the impact they have are very small, in the region of 50 calories per day for example.
@mikesomething You are taking things to literally which I was trying to illustrate in my last point. The 3 terms are simply broad categories. People don't fall entirely in to one "strict neverchanging category". Of course anyone can improve their metabolism slightly by improving their habits. That doesn't mean the categories don't exist. But the amount of muscle one can gain is VERY dependent on genetics. As is the ease of gaining / losing fat. Ask any bodybuilder or advanced lifter.
@thegarbageman21 there are not 3 broad catagories, it is a sliding scale.
and i would prefer to ask people who, like scientists, and not idiots, who read about mesomorphs one day, and decided "well, its on the internet, so it MUST be true, duuhhhhh"
it is not very dependable at all, the differences are slight.
the human genome has been mapped, there are no mysteries, and there are no "body type" genes.
the categories do NOT exist
science says its nonsense, fat people think its true
@mikesomething There are no mysteries to the human genome . . . do you realize just how ignorant that statement is? I am a 3rd year medical student who has competed in a natural bodybuilding show and trained students at my college. Anyway I got the results I wanted long ago and have spoken with countless trainers and bodybuilders alike. Believe what you want man but I won't bother arguing anymore. To think everyone has similar size potential is so very ignorant.
@mikesomething you dont need science to see that humans have different muscle gaining potential. simple logic.
frstly, if u take 2 people who both do not exercise at all, one grows bigger and has more muscle mass than another. this is purely genetic. this is the baseline.
secondly, no matter how much you work out, you'll need the inherent bone size etc to accomodate large muscle size. ie. the 'frame'. this too is genetic.
perhaps ur confusing size with muscular definition.
@thegarbageman21 for me it's obvious, it's like races, we are not one race, so genetic is the same, we dont have the same genetic, the 3 stuff exist, and this guy look ectomorph to me, he got a" great body"
@eliasnyc1 Actually, we are one race. The physical distinctions among humans is something made up to be "Race", but we are all one race, actually, with variations in the way we look.
@mikesomething ure an idiot. ecto, endo or meso are simply a general idea with different variations. Just like how u said ppl are thin, normal or fat. There are variations in between those as well. Fyi, wikipedia is not a credible source. Genes has a big role in ur metabolic rate. No matter what u eat, there are other people who dnt even have to try but there metabolic rate is simply faster. Same thing with muscle building. 2 ppl can have the same diet n exercise n grow at different rates.

thegarbageman21 1 year ago
@thegarbageman21 yes it has.
the trush is people are, thin, normal, or fat
not ecto, endo, or meso. these were proved to be nonsense as soon as they were suggested.
only retards dont know this.

@mikesomething lol so everyone has the same metabolism and can gain / lose weight with the same ease / difficulty. . . sigh well ur an idiot.
thegarbageman21 1 year ago
@thegarbageman21 i never said that
but peoples' metabolic rate changes, it isnt fixed.
it naturally tends towards being faster.
you can change it by what you eat, and the amount of moving around, lying in bed, that you do.
the idea that we are born with essentially 3 different body types is a theory that has been disprove, a lonnnnnng time ago.
meso, endo, ecto, no such thing
search wikipedia for "Somatotype"

saying something doesnt make it true.
body types theory was rejected and disproved when it came out, many years ago.
