  • Cate Blanchett played Galadriel so well. Timeless, aloof, wise yet compassionate.

    On the whole I think the first instalment in the trilogy is better directed than the last two.

  • This is the first Blanchett/LotR interview I've seen - I've just finished rewatching all of the Appendices of the Extended Edition, and noticed she is possibly the only member of the 'main' cast not to give an interview - wondered whether it had been a bad experience for her! I imagine the 'Hobbit' casting news would mean she had a bearable time at the very least!
