we started the industrial revolution u make cars that break down as soon as u look at them. granted we dont produce many goods anymore but we still are the best at engineering thats why we still hold the land speed record we even designed one of ur bridges the millau viaduct. seen as tho every country in the world uses the business model we invented i have faith we will get out of the recession.

UK is decrepit ; roads are complety wrecked. Living in UK is being back in the 60s. uk 'cities' need rejuvenated & most houses are a frightening low standard of quality. A CITY IN UK IS THE SIZE OF A SMALL TOWN IN FRANCE. there isn't any building higher than 3 floors & uk always talk of lack of land ???? Come on we are in 2011 !

@tribalchoco LOL, I'm sure more than one would answer Benidorm or Salou (for those who don't get the joke, Benidorm and Salou are two towns in the Mediterranean coast that are very popular, and they're usually full of English & German people).
But if you come to Spain, football, beer and how much they hate Spain or the goverment will be the only conversation too.

@tribalchoco The Brits you see binge drinking are the dregs of society, usually poor, so they can't afford to travel far (i.e. those who think France is exotic). It makes no sense to stereotype an entire nation based on the offensive behaviour of a minority group. Otherwise I would assume that all French people smell terrible, and spend all day cycling around in a stripy shirt with a string of onions around their neck. Oh, and P.S, just google 'Best Tourists in the World' and see for yourself.

@tribalchoco Some do tend to go to Amsterdam in Netherlands, cheap parts of Spain or France in order to get pissed and have a good time. It's true that sometimes we might not give a shit about the culture. But I assure you that it's definitely a minority (mainly like guys around 20 to go on a lads' holidays). Definitely a minority and Little Britain plays on stereotypes and only pokes fun. It doesn't reflect the entire nation and neither should your views =)

@basketca2 yeah but the most funny thing is that UK is best at hiding reality under the carpet ( it is the reason why u hav carpet everywhere in uk: bathroom...) They sell a very good image abroad. Never heard of crapy NHS before i moved here: appalling health system u hav. Uk people even hav to go abroad to get proper treatment sometimes ; this sadly testifies to POOR STANDARDS uk hav. What a shame for Europe !

@IKT57 not at all in my opinion. there´s no easier language in the world to aquire. again, my opinion. every language has abreviations and slang, but english has no real cases and barely any conjugations. have you tried russian or turkish, now that´s what I call hard.
