  • Miss you RJD \m/ \m/ <3

  • I will get this album for my ride , all highway traveling music

  • What is the time signature of this song? Is it in triple time?

  • @muurtalo It sounds so

  • who's the bassist?

  • @WallSpace

    The bassist is Craig Gruber

  • @Deth666Iron I think he is the one who helped Black Sabbath out with "Heaven and Hell" (and contributed uncredited), before Geezer Butler came back, once he realized the songs were THAT good. Tough luck...

  • Man, this album...so much cowbell!

  • @jinzodude i got the joke ....excellent mate - because its true !

  • @Gcrash95 you're right mate

  • Good point,rdfronnie !

  • fantastic dio

  • @Gcrash95 vinyls are definitely great! I´m building a collection myself at the moment!

  • WHATS NOT TO LIKE ?

  • @lorilynn1965 the end of the album , cause you gotta flip it over

  • this is a real cracker of a song...dio rocks, ritchie the god! this is one album that will be listened to over and over again..20 years down the road, if i m still around, i will still listen to it!

  • Yeahhhhhh! great song. Buy the album!!!!!!!

  • this is such a great song, after 20yrs of listiening to this, it still sounds fresh, dio and ritchie made some of the best music ever

  • not a big deep purple fan, but i love dio and blackmore together, rainbow was the one of the greatest hard rock bands of the 70's. damn, i miss dio.

  • @Gcrash95 i have that alice cooper vinal too along with some cool beatles and floyd stuff too...yea vinal rocked

  • Ritchie + Ronnie = best hard rock of all time

  • no way am i going to buy this off itunes, i will not conform to this fashion. Sure i'll put music onto itunes but never buy anything. if i couldnt find a particular album then maybe but vinyls and cd are where its at, if i bought wish you were here off itunes iwouldnt be able to look at the artwork or physically hold it, i wouldnt get the post card, i dont want everything to be on the internet vinyl and cds are still and always be important

  • DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN......

THIS SONG IS TITS :) meaning good

  • PERFECTION

  • im not looking for a argument butritchie blackmore was a dick, he broke up this perfect band cause of the bassist and drummers playing style and wanted to move it to a more comercial based direction, he may be a good guitarist but i put him around the same level as axel rose

  • I really can't listen to it in public - I start to sway to the rythm and look creepy..

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie James Dio at a Pub in the SFV, mid nineties, I remember telling him how much the music of Rainbow inspired me and how appreciative I was of his lyrics and voice. I told him that it made the band very significant and stand apart by his contributions. He was most glad to hear what I said and he did smile a lot that night.

    Cheers

  • Ah the golden days of metal and rock... Why did I have to be born in the mid 90s?

  • @MrStratocaster1961 - the fact that Gruber isn't credited here has nothing to do with Ritchie, simply the uploader didn't give credit. If you check the vinyl lp or CD of this album, you will see Gruber's name listed.

  • This is real rock and roll I grew up with this , it gets no better!!!

  • Again....What's with Craig Gruber's name not giving credit!! He was one of the best musicians in the whole band!!?? What's up with this?? Ritchie....you having problems poor boy??!!

  • I am sooo lucky that there was a late night radio program called "Beakers' (sp?)Street." This station played "Man on the Silver Mountain" all of the time. (In 1976!) Most DJ's would not play Rainbow. Not Beakers (sp?) I was also introduced to "Captain Beyond.", a band fronted by a former Purple front man. First album was a killer. All self-respecting rockers should have the first Rainbow album, first Captain Beyond album ....1st or 2nd Led Zep well now debates will start. Good debate though.

  • it doesnt get any more soulful than this thank you dio thank you rainbow thank you ritchie

  • I've just found this band today. I don't actually like much Dio-era Sabbath, but this is great music.

Reminds me of live Uriah Heap, though Blackmore blows Mick Box away

  • Two people went down, down, down.

Sorry, I had to do that. I HATE CHEAP CIDER!!!

  • this album had a very special feeling to it. ritchie and ronnie bonded like no other

  • its weird cause i got into the 1st 3 rainbow albums like an year ago and i just started listening to deep purple yesterday

  • no one can hold a light to blackmore, just listen to this sounds easy but he makes everything look easy

  • I decided to listen to this album in its entirety. By the time I got to this tune (i was a bit out of order) I had the biggest grin on my face I've had in ages. This album defines perfection.

  • making these riffs and introes. just great.

  • is it me or is this is black sabbath and almond brothers all in one

  • @rmf09020 Almond brothers?? Is it me or you should stop pretending you have a clue about rock?

  • @Drojdier shhhh be quiet

  • @rmf09020 haha Almond brothers? Allman Brothers dude. Though in your defense Duane and Gregg Allman formed a band called Allman Joys which is obviously a throwback to the Almond Joy candybar.

  • @GuitarLegend310 hahahahahhaaahaha

  • What a great album, so much talent between Dio, Blackmore and the rest of the guys from Elf. Sad we don't hear much good music nowadays

  • RONNIE NOT GONE THERES ONLY THE WAY THAT I FEEL QUITE CRYING

  • Art of rocking

  • this is classic rainbow unlike when they sold themselves out and alienated their fans

  • @Rorschachxx1985 they had some good songs with joe but yeah man they shouldn't have gotten rid of dio. Dio never sells out. Then again if they didn't we wouldn't have heaven and hell, the mob rules, or dio's solo stuff which were all great as well

  • This song rules. I really wish the rest of the album sounded more like this (and MOTSM).

  • Hello to all..

Help support Music inspired and enhanced by Rainbow!!/Deep purple

    and all things Heavy Rock.
