for the record, a "sweet potato" and a "yam" sold in america are the same thing. so pretending like you can tell the difference between the two just makes you seem like a moron.
there's an african vegetable called a yam, which isn't related to the sweet potato at all. it's merely a case of confused language.
maybe do a little research before starting a food website?
last christmas eve i went down stairs to get a glass of water and when i was about to walk in my room i saw a bloody eyed santa in my room if you dont post this comment to 12 videos the bloody eyed santa will be in your room tonite waiting for you to go to sleep so he can KILL YOU!!!!!!!!
I disagree. Some carbon tastes bad, like burning meat in flames on a grill, or if I had used raw garlic in the marinade. But those caramelized sweet potato starches and sugars on the silpat did not cause an off taste,in fact they add to the color and flavor of the dish. How I do I know for sure? I got to eat them! But, thanks for watching and keeping an eye on me. In some cases you would be correct to wipe.
Yams make me think of Autumn, but fixed this way they seem a natural for a lighter summer meal. Thanks for the demo on how a "traditional" seasonal veggie doesn't need to be stuck in just one season.
Mmmm.. yams are delish. Very well done technically this video too, you're really getting used to the new equipment. Only shot i would have changed is the brown yam on the brown cutting board. But the 450 shot is cool, you have some sort of tunnel filter for that I think. Anyways thanks again, we always look forward to your vids!
You are soooooo likable!

it's a fine line between caramel and carbon. Recipe looks like it tastes great!
bigredchef 4 years ago
true. But the thin black lines on some char-grilled asparagus,
or a chicken breast, or teriaki salmon, are definately
carbon yet an important flavor profile in the overall dish.

Thanks, thats why I wrote about them today on the site. They should be eaten at least once a week. So good, so easy, so healthy.

That would work, but they sell it in every supermarket in town! Safeway alone has like 3 different brands to choose from. Not hard to find at all.
