The kettlebell should be weightless above your head before you punch your hand through. Practice with high pulls until you're getting your kettlebell to be weightless at the top of the arch. You'll know it's weightless because you won't have to push against it to keep it from going too far behind or above you. There will be a moment where it changes direction and starts to fall. This is the moment when you punch. It helps to guide the kettlebell around your wrist with a slight twist.
