@carlo88moe THIS. actually it's not that long ago I've seen an interview of albarn and brett...and by the way: without suede there would be neither blur nor oasis, manics, etc...
@depechemode1992 i well know of suedes contribution to britpop, but id actually go further to the Stone Roses or the Smiths as the catalysts...suede were the announcers of the era proper id say tho for sure
Due to this song, I got to have a serious concern about him. I could not help paying attention in his stimulating, speculative voice.. It was an exquisite combination. Whenever I hear the piano prelude, my heart still tremble..
Words such as 'bleed' or 'breed' remind me of Brett...
Instinctive Needs are soaked in his voice, inspire the desire for a gooey texture of freedom. It was his sincere or serious enty for an vanity and a lust for life, also.

Why is this man not acknowledged as one of the greatest ever frontmen. Effortlessly charismatic and puts so much emotion into every performance. love this song and i don't think i have ever seen him do a duff performance of it. Pure brilliance. Roll on Brixton in May
not sure about poetry and crystals but yes the man does have talent. 'Poetry and Crystals' sounds like a rough attempt at trying to title one of their albums to me. as does 'Pure Beauty'

all suede singles are brilliant but they are in fact easily counted and not at all countless. No need to edit your posts but going forward please be more judicious in your use of "countless" Thank you, Mr Wonderfulization.
it pretty much depends on the song. This one sounds good live as good as it does on the cd, but Beautiful Ones for example is so much better on the record.
@grinningsoul77 You're right, they were awesome live. Saw them twice, once when the first album came out in Liverpool. Once in Southampton, just before they split. The first time, Brett came out to talk the fans queueing outside the Royal Court theatre.
@KernowFilms lucky you! only saw them once, shortly before they disbanded - but the gig was great nonetheless. This morning I bought a ticket for their only German show end of this year :-)
@thelucy3703 Awesome song. Saw them for this tour in St Louis upstairs in a warehouse. There was support post in the middle of the stage and they were pissed, but it was still one of the most memorable shows I've seen ever.
"he can walk out antytime, anytime he wants to walk out, that's fine" / "and by the sea we'll bleed"
This is just amazing, I'm truly speachless. Brett is so talented, and the guitars here... That's one of my fav of Suede. I discovered this band a week ago and it's first time in my hole life when music talks in my language so much! I just can't get rid of them - they all the time play in my head
Suede are one of the best bands in the world,I miss them really much...enjoy with Tears and Brett´s music right now.Brett went born to be a singer and a poet, his voice is simply perfect!.He makes you feel music as anyone else do.He´s an ARTIST!.Greetings from Spain.
This is one my favorite songs ever! I could listen to it all day. Pure brilliance! I enjoyed Coming Up quite a bit but I always felt that this was the one true gem on that album hidden amongst other excellent but less inspirational songs.
Coming up was such a great album. I mean 10 tracks. 5 were top ten singles. And the other 5 were even better. I mean picnic by the motorway, by the sea and the chemistry between us was class. And to say there first 2 albums was even better proves how great suede were
Coming Up was an incredible achievement! I remember the critics fully expected Suede to fall flat on their faces after Bernard left the band. The press (just before the release of Coming Up) were really ugly. Richard Oakes is such an underrated songwriter. At 17 he was able to step up and co-write countless top ten singles. Amazing!
Most of the times I don't like too much this song, but I must say that this performance is just sublime. Suede can seduce with just a couple of notes.
Adorable

Buck Tick? Are you serious? God! You're kidding! Suede has way more class than that, dude.
