Hi great video which is why i`m hoping you can help a newby to the scene. I just bought the valved suzuki pro-master MR350 as i had bought a cheap set of harps and didnt like the feel or sound of them. I`m happy with my new harp but some of the upper reeds just seem to stick and produce a horrible squeal. I am sure its cos its new but is their anything i can do to remedy it. Thanks for any help.
@richardd2063 I have never played a valved harp, and have heard that they play a lot differently than standard, giving you a wider range of notes and also "confusing" beginners. The harp you speak of will make notes that(as far as I know) you CANNOT make on a standard diatonic. I'm also assuming that bending notes will be very different on a valved harp. As far as high notes go, they are hard to hit smoothly in the Key of C, they are very high, it is likely not the harp but your technique
This one is un-valved but you can purchase either but over the long run I prefer the Manji

is this the valved or non valved one ? i want the regular one without the valved abilities if so how does it stack up against the manji?

Thanks for getting back, we`ve found out that indeed there seems to be a problem with a reed and they have agreed to take it back and replace.

They will squeal a bit until they have been worn in. If they had of been used a lot then they would have needed cleaning with some alcohol
