  • Nice video, very informative :-)

  • I'm sure you had the bible shoved in your face just as I had, but that is no excuse to act like a puritain! Yea I said it.Just like Christian nut jobs, you seem to teach your children that only athiests are good, and anyone who believes in anything are bad people.Just stop it.You're making my athiest friends look bad, which is why more christians get onto them, because of people like you.And it's the same for my believer friends who have to deal with athiest bitterness created by religious nuts!

  • lol, how did you keep a straight face when you said that Christians don't know that there suppose to kill atheists.

  • I've told people about how the bible says they are supposed to put homosexuals to death and I've showed them in the bible. Their excuse is that it was written in the old testament. Although isn't the old testament still the word of god? And I don't recall anything about Jesus saying the old testament was invalid after he came along.

  • @Ryuk: well, the old testament is where you'll find the basis for creationism, the ark, the ten commandments, etc. jesus is supposed to be a prophecy come true...from where? the old testament.

it's probably time we called the new testament 'the old testament' and discard the old 'old testament' as pure, silly myth. (won't be long before we can do the same with the new old testament. LoL)

jesus did say that he had the new covenant to offer... it's all b.s.

  • "Mr. Dursley had seen that fateful news report about the owls."

    Does that make sense?

No, because it was taken from the middle of a sentence from a book. It was taken out of context and has lost its meaning.

From this you could assume that owls are attacking everywhere!

The excerpt was from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone chapter 2.

If people read the context behind the verses, they would make more sense.

  • I don't think the Bible should be crammed down the throats of every student in the world. I think it would just make it seem like a text book.

If your going to make a video against Christianity, make points that will make me think. I don't just want to listen to a vid. that takes things out of context.

  • @PrayForFun no, you are incorrect. i knew mr dursley, and you are no mr dursley!

why don't you just go to those verses and read a page on either side of that verse. maybe they can teach you to not study things where you hide, but that doesn't work for me...i study things.

that brings up a great idea though. i should make a video NOT taking the bible out of context. i could read the entire goofy story. although long and boring, catastrophic and crazy, you may be on to something here.

  • @holybabble I agree with PrayForFun. And as for you reading the whole Bible, why not? Lamentations is my favorite book. It's not all touchy happy. In fact its the most depressing thing I've ever read.

(Your sarcasm at the end was funny.)

  • @Herekittykitty777 i have read the entire bible. it's a tough read, and would never be worth the time spent, however, it is so thick in our culture (although most have no idea what is in it) that i felt it was important even as a born again thinker.

of course you agree with 'prayforfun'. that doesn't make her right. everyone agreed with david koresh in his compound...everyone agreed with jimmy jones in his compound, etc. it doesn't make anyone correct to have support. she's wrong.

  • @holybabble I'm glad you read it all the way through. I respect you for that. A lot of people who make these videos haven't. Even many Christians don't!

No matter what your belief is on the Bible, I respect you for the way you've replied to our comments. You don't just lash out and cuss at us, but state your thoughts a persuading and mostly respectful tone.

Thanks for not treating us like some creatures that need to be exterminated like some other do.

  • kittykitty: i will suggest that nearly all christians have not read the bible. in studies (conducted by christians), less than 1% attest to completing it. very few of muslims have read their holy quaran.

patronizing will get you nowhere. i don't lash out if i haven't been lashed out at. i won't turn the other cheek if i'm slapped.

almost everyone that stands up against religion is completely honest. plenty of people that say they are religious are simply doing it for looks.

  • @holybabble Good point about people being religious for looks. I totally agree with that.

  • Great video.

  • bad ass video man, i've been waiting for a new one...

  • your right about all the only happy things being taught

  • "c)Their mom was a pillar in the community" FTW

  • Nah! They'd find a way to "cherry pick," and only the "good" parts of the bible would be taught. Especially if the decisions on curriculum were left up to the texas board of education.

  • Where I live there's Hebrew Bible Study in all public non-religious schools

  • I would just like to have people stop talking to their "Invisible friend" and start talking to each other.

  • @KasparHauser4 i'm sorry that my hope and belief makes you angry, i never intended to upset anyone when jesus christ saved my life, when i was dying ,blood everywhere, when i said goodbye to my family, and in that moment mumbled a little prayer out of fear and he saved me, life came back into my body. it didn't cross my mind that it would upset you that i openly confess jesus christ simply because i should be dead if it wasn't for him. if it makes you feel better, i am sorry.

  • @Terrybob123 isn't that special? jesus forced you to stay here with us? presumably, death is better than life, so what the hell are you suggesting? oh...let me guess, jesus had a purpose for you to live longer, right? well, what the fuck is jesus' purpose in allowing children to be raped and murdered? where is the purpose in starving large friggen groups of people?

arrogant to believe that jesus picked you. ignorant to believe jesus over mythra or zeus. prayer=talking to yourself.

  • @holybabble how would you know? had any real experince in life with christian people? your probably just a biased product of the culture creaton that comes from the likes of charles darwin, set on intolereance because of subjective world view that you find in a book or a news article. name any specific christian person you know that is the evil monster you proclaim us all to be. you call me ignorant and you don't even know me. tell me what is fair, when your own assumption is due to comformity

  • @holybabble the real question is not why god would allow suffering but why you would be so full of hatred and proclaim to be civilized and more rational. when in your own rationallity you have become brutish and puffed up. full of endless overlapping ideas to protect you from your own guilt and jealousy, and self loathing pride. your attacking a 19 year old boy because he has faith in the "invisible spagetti monster" quit being a concieted backslider and do something with your life.

  • @holybabble other than hasseling a kid so you can finally fit into a group of people and feel accepted. like you couldn't feel from christ because of your own hard headedness. if you wanted the truth you'd find it relentlessly, but you have settled for the easy way out, through hatefulness and fear. are you happy with yourself? are you? what kind of example will you set for your children acting like one yourself. and being so easily maligned by historians can't tell theory from fact.

  • @Terrybob123 i should do something with my life? i have an awesome wife, 2 excellent kids (20, 23 yrs old), and we're millionaires. out of all the people on this contraption to point a finger at and say, "jealous, unhappy, low-life" you decided upon me? you could have tried to explain why god(s) would do what i had suggested, however, you instead made an attempt to pin guilt and reclusiveness on an absolute social magnet.

  • @holybabble i didn't realize you were the owner of this channel, i apologize for bothering you,

  • for me world religions was a 2nd yr philosophy class. i learned a lot, but i knew alot before i went into it. they should teach it in 5th grade

  • For example, a bit of Christianity is covered in a religious studies class, but people don't usually take that until they are university age. and even that class only covers major world religions like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism. I like the added quiz questions at the end. It certainly would force Christians to think for themselves.

  • I think the bible is good to learn about as long as it's not forced onto kids as the

only religion of the world and I think it might be best not to introduce them to religion until they are older to make a decision as to what they want to believe for themselves.

  • @HaleyMary Its a bad idea, they might not 'force' it on anyone, but they shouldn't teach it in school at all....kids don't have a good bullshit filter...if they absolutly feel they have to teach it,then it should be thought as mythology

  • Agreed. I would actually like to see more world religion classes, in sooth, if for no other reason than to help keep students minds in perspective.

Of course, the doubtless rise of atheism in response to better education would be a very nice side effect.

  • Greenscreen makes everything better. (?)

The spliced in quiz questions is a nice touch.
