Supras are so expensive though. not a lot of people can afford a 20k dollar car and then put another 10k on it to make 850whp. ball bearing turbos that can make that kind of power is about 4k then you gotta have exhaust manifold and injectors and aftermarket ecu and tuning plus labor. but yeah, if i can afford it, i`d go with a supra too. or a nissan gtr35. 11 second qtr. in stock trim.

I have seen Cobra's decked out with turbos that smoked the built racer cars.
Ford did the engine right you got space for dual turbos and enough overhead pressure that the engine block can withstand to take a huge shot of NOS if interested.

This wasnt an '03 Cobra just so people know. It may have been a cobra but it was definitely a Fox Body. Those little cars are bad ass! I've owned 2 Fox Bodies and a '95 convertible. Well supras might be pricey in the states but here in Ireland you can a 3ltr twin turbo automatic supra for around 5,000euro so be around 4,700$. But the snag is that its a smelly auto.

lets set the record straight if you put a huger turbo in a car it will go fast
Take an engine that can take serious boost pressure it can be made to go fast
THE Supra engine and Ford Engines fit in the last category.
I have seen Cobra's decked out with turbos that smoked the built racer cars.
Ford did the engine right you got space for dual turbos and enough overhead pressure that the engine block can withstand to take a huge shot of NOS if interested.
The Cobra also still has $8000 inhand.

and that supra sounded like the turbo was huge.
Put radials do a larger rad for the supercharger, ditch the passenger

@richardrubik by the sounds of it, that supra has a t51r, much similar to the one i had in my supe. vids are on my page if youre interested in comparing. muscle pretty much wont win lol. sure it wins against a lot of rice, but when put up against the right car, it will get walked like a little mut down the street from me in anaheim hills

there's no replacement for displacement my ass! that's why the Toyota supra is known as one of the most powerful cars made(not stock of course). with a 3.0 liter inline six, the cobra has a 4.6 or 5.4 whatever they have, supercharged v8... SUCK IT!!

liter size has nothin to do wit a car winning.. i know 2.6 liters beatin lambos.. an everyone knows that turbos have more of that 'under the curve power' over superchargers.. it takes 50 hp to move the belt of a supercharger so you arent getting all the boost and you,re getting it later in the rpms.. a toyota supra STOCK is a powerful car but limited like the mustang or any other car stock.. Know your facts before you sell out an appreciate both cars an not one..

This wasnt an '03 Cobra just so people know. It may have been a cobra but it was definitely a Fox Body. Those little cars are bad ass! I've owned 2 Fox Bodies and a '95 convertible. (The vert was a piece of shit) looked nice ran good but I didnt like the soft top....Some dumb bitch ended up buying it with smoked piston rings and it was funny because her friend drove and integra and he said it had a lot of power lol! That car had MAYBE 70% of the power it did when i first got it.....

Well supras might be pricey in the states but here in Ireland you can a 3ltr twin turbo automatic supra for around 5,000euro so be around 4,700$. But the snag is that its a smelly auto.

The only reason the supra won was because it was twin turbocharged. Get a twin turbo mustang or a no turbo supra and the outcome is much different

that's what logic says right? i love cobras, my uncle has a terminator turbocharged cobra and always gets his ass handed to by my friends t78 supra. there's a lot of factors that can take into place like traction or tune, but if that was the case all the time, then why does sw's supra hold the standing mile record, by ALONG SHOT, there was built turboed cobras vipers vettes, and other cars that didnt come close to 246mph and it's not cus of weight, supras are heavy. both good cars,unlike ricers.
