Actually they're not even related. They were together in band called Morning Musume and were selected to form a subgroup (W) and they were marketed as pseudio-twins because they looked quite a bit alike when they were younger.

In the beginning, the one in front is Kago Ai and the one behind is Tsugi Nozomi.

Hello!Project is the company that all the groups are part of. C-ute, Berryz Koubou and Buono are all Hello!Project Kids groups. Morning Musume is above H!P kids. W was a subgroup of MM. Kira Pika was a one-hit group with Mai from C-ute and Koharu Kusumi from MM. Perfume is not part of H!P.
