Nice birds but I would take that troublemaker 15 miles down the road and see how well his attitude helps him in the real world. He'll be a scalper in the roading crate and bully birds away from the trap. Fighting is not an asset.
What an angry pigeon. Thats too bad he didn't make it.
If you could keep him from getting infected, you could have taken the leg, and left him as a breeder... pigeons do pretty well with only one leg. But it would have been pretty impossible to avoid complications.
My father use to raise pigeons & I couldn't help but notice that what look like bullying is for the most part begghing for food. A baby pigeon pecks his parents beaks & general head area & sometimes any part of the parents body as a signal for "feed me". They'll do that to any other pigeon around hoping to get fed. It takes them a while after they are weaned to stop the habbit; some sooner than others. In general, baby pigeons are not fighters or defensive peckers. They are flight-no-fight specy
That seems to usually be a nuzzling type peck, instead of an aggressive peck. These looked a bit more like aggressive pecks... But it is possible that this pigeon learned to peck its parents a little differently.
that one fucking pegon needs go somewhere !@#
