  • this shot also fades out the train too soon. should do follow up on the last

car till it disappears behind a bush etc. but, it's a bit better than the other shot

    u've done.

  • @5utube12 - Many thanks for the comment - nice to know I am improving! Seriously though, I have taken your comments on board.

  • the fowler is by far my favourite roundhouse loco, and i love the railway, very realistic

  • @bonkersabouttrainz - many thanks for the comment - glad you enjoyed it!. And the Fowler is very special - it is very controllable and makes a great sound!

  • That is a great video. They look so real running slow that you don't see much in Live steam in the gardens. Great work keep them together and running soomth.. Tks for posting.. Noel & Jane in Ca.

  • @noelw71 - Thanks for the kind words Noel and Jane - it is great to hear from Ca! I always aim for slow, but sometimes what looks slow to the eye, looks like an express on the video. On this one it worked just right, but then the Fowler really is a wonderful slow runner.

  • Hi Chris, Another little masterpiece from Summerlands Chuffer Productions. Brilliant shots of your miniature locomotives working hard around the garden, especially the very low shots which look and sound fantastic. Chuffers working and sounding really good in the bright spring sunshine. What could be better!

  • @PineTreeJunction - Thanks Lindsay - the low shots are easier as the whole railway is two foot above the ground. Still a lot of running about and crouching down though, as we do the whole thing in one steaming.

I have to say that the low Spring sunshine does make for nice effects - thanks to the lighting controller in the sky ;-)

  • @Summerlandsteam Hi Chris. Thanks for the reply. We have made some kneelers out of carpet underlay to help when we get down with the low shots. Our garden railway runs at ground level so lots of up and downs. You do really well to film in one steaming and it all looks great. It makes such a difference when the sun is out so you get lots of shadows and depth to the shots. We really like watching your channel with all the different locomotives so keep getting out there with your camera!

  • @PineTreeJunction - Hi Lindsay - kneelers sound like a very good idea! Only one or two of my videos have gone over into two steamings - but I have no idea why I put myself under pressure to do it in one! I guess it is because there is always so much else going on and the light or wind can change so quickly, so I like to get it all in the can asap. I might think about relaxing one day...........just not soon ;-)

    Cheers

  • For all your pains i think it has payed off! Lovely video, this is why we love steam!

  • @omnibus360 - Thanks Tulki - nice to hear from you! And yes, I think it was worth the effort ;-)

    Cheers
