This is my favourite Morse, pure classic. Ian McDiarmid is amazing in it as the slimy Hugo. The episode was directed by Danny Boyle, director of Trainspotting.

From what I've read Madelaine Newton, Kevin Whatley's wife, plays the part of Beryl Newsome...the love interest of Morse who is murdered.
