  • fucking retards cant pronounce Te Reo Maori

  • @TheNzpaintball Umm, we weren't even trying to pronounce whatever the heck that is... :/ Sorry to ruin your funn..

  • @supergirl5121 Te Reo Maori is the language you were trying to pronounce! Pohutukawa and whatever else you said?

  • @supergirl5121 Te Reo Maori translates to the Maori Language. The being pretty much the focus of the last half of the video. Pahutakawa etc.

  • @supergirl5121 Whatever the heck that is? Wow its only the other official language of NZ. The words that you were trying to pronounce were Maori words so yeah actually you were trying to pronounce Te Reo Maori.

  • @TheNzpaintball haha im the boy in the vid like five years later. thanks for the props bro

  • hey that cave was in narnia prince caspian :D

  • There is no 'normal' way of speaking. 'Normal' is different in every country and is dependent on where you're from.

  • Dont feed the seagulls!!..it's the same rule as , dont eat yellow snow!!...lol

  • As a Kiwi living in Texas for the past 7 years, i still have my thick Kiwi accent, & always get comments on how "pretty" my accent is :) my kids sound Kiwi to the Yanks here, but when we go home for holidays, they get assholes for sounding like Yanks...lol...a bunch of teenage boys once told my son, when he is older & having that accent, he's gonna get aaaaall the girls ;)

  • Kia ora!

Ummm I have never seen people who came from NZ. but I think NZ accent's is sooooooo similar like Britishs. :-D I'm really interested in this video. Good good!

    Hello from South-Korea.

  • THESE GUYS ARE BEACHED AZ !!!!

  • @foch0 ... what does beached az mean? sorry.. haha! i'm just curious :P

  • @supergirl5121 Searched "Beached az" in youtube. There's 2 seasons of it

  • @supergirl5121 I don't even know what that means myself and Im from New Zealand!?!?lol

  • @supergirl5121 it means ur a fat kunt

  • @0XXSTR0XX1 ha, okay cool... i'm a 16 year old who weighs 110 pounds, but sure, i'm a fat vag? yeah... right.

  • @supergirl5121 Lol was a dick that guy was! Anyway, az or as, is just another term we use to emphasise our point. Instead of saying 'that movie was so cool', in NZ we could also say 'that movie was cool as!' Hope this helped!

  • @supergirl5121 its just a video on youtube about a whale thats stuck on a beach

  • ahhh i miss home sooooo much i miss going to the beach in a woolen jacket to eat hot food ....... (feelin home sick now)

  • i love my accent its soo the awesomist evaa lol... but yeah ive never noticed a diffrence in mine... i know we say a few diffrent words to the americans but hey every where is diffrent!!! we are not the only ones who have a diffrence in dialoge but hey i love the kiwi accent!!!

  • Auzzies have their own accent and kiwis have their own accent you can tell the dif you no sheez...

  • we dont sound like australians!!

  • We sound more like Aussies than any other nation

  • i like the new zealand accent its like a mix of american english and austrailian

  • im so homesick. that beach is heaven

  • for a second I thought that was at pt chev beach! lol awsome

  • look i've got a CHIP!!! made me laugh

  • haha thanks.

  • Im a new zealander and Americans have an amazing accent when your sitting at a restaraunt or something I love hearing thick American accents. I never thought nz'ers had An accent? I know the whole words that end in r is like aaa so not amber like ambaaaa but I like mii accent :)

  • haha thanks for watching! :)

  • Since I'm an American, I guess I kind of have to say thanks for loving the accent! :-) You're one of the few people in the English-speaking world I've ever heard say that!

I'm from the US South, so not quite the standard "American" accent. Even within the rest of the US people are fascinated w/ my accent, but they always think I'm from Texas - that's a COMPLETELY different accent! ARGH lol.

I like your accent too - def. be proud of it!

  • Haha^^...I do have family in the US but Im from Germany. I always loved the American accents especially the southern accent with its looong vaols. My English teacher always wanted me to adopt the Britisch accent you lern in school...she just gave up after a while ; )

  • I'm up north, my accent is 'standard', or colorless :P. I guess it's sort of business-like.

I've heard other non-American English speakers say they like the southern accent. Very interesting.

  • Yes, I know a whole bunch of people who also like the southern accent. To me, useing all these long vaols is a kind of singing.

But I dont think that the northern accent is colorless...my uncle's from New Hampshire and I just love his accent, but I also have some friends in Wisconsin...their accent was very easy to understand..nice and smooth. Not as my uncle's gurgling =P

  • @TheUnknownGenius I never knew Americans had an accent either.. until now.

  • @TheUnknownGenius I'm American, and I'm curious as to what a "thick" American accent sounds like to others. Do you know of any words that are pronounced with a thick American accent? Because in America... we have a bunch of different accents. People from New Jersey, New York, Maine, and so on have very distinct accents from those regions. I'm from the east coast, and most other Americans I know have my accent. Then in the South, there's a heavy "country" accent.

  • @kaybabe254 Hi im from NZ and I i would consider a thick accent as

dragging the 'a's and 'r's such as in pen, in NZ we pronounce pen like how you would pronounce pin to us it sounds like you are saying paaaan.

If that makes sense, it would probably be a NY accent at most.

    lol

  • @dancedanceeyeah Hmm, well I don't pronounce pen as pan. To me, the "e" in pen sounds like "eh". So I guess I'd say I'd pronounce it as "pehn".

  • @kaybabe254 Yes but when you say the word 'pen' and the word 'pan', do they come out sounding the same or similar?

In NZ, they are said quite differently.

  • @TheUnknownGenius haha.. this is the first time ive ever seen someone love an american accent! I'm from the US and i'm nearly obsessed with Australian/New Zealand accents! They're so different and i've never heard it in person.. and I'm just someone who loves to travel so one day i would go!

but i always thought the american accent was plain and boring and no one would really like it. lol. i love the way you guys say "Aluminium" and we say... "Aluminum" (without the extra i)

  • @JemixShanie Us saying Aluminium isn't our accent, its a different spelling of the word we use over here, and also in England. Americans say it different to us because of spelling, not the accent.

  • @hornetchik05 I didn't say that was the accent. I meant, I love the way that it's said.

  • @TheUnknownGenius Everyone has an accent, the way we talk is our accent. There is no 'normal' accent or anything.

And in Southland, we would say Amber, not Amba.

  • @TheUnknownGenius agreed!! i just moved to the usa and EVERYONE says i have an accent and they dont!

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha! What???

We in the USA have accents??

    x-D

im not sure what to say to that!

  • @casskatina

    everyone has an accent..

  • isn't that Cathedral Cove?

  • yep, it is.

  • thought so... it just wasn't as crowded as when i went there.

  • that is coromandle

    Dolphins swim there

  • we didn't see any dolphins, but i so wish we had!!

  • My girlfriend and I were there in Febuary if that helps you

I also got to swim with them the for about five minutes.there was a whole pod

One of them scare the hell out of me because it swim up behind me and way only about a foot away from me and out of the corner of my eye briefly it seemed to move like a shark but thankfully it was not

but all and all it was a very happy moment filled with lots of laughter

just so know you they like to ride the waves in like surf boaders

  • oh yesh is is as here..just relised.. and ka is car and why do we pronounce banana as baanaanaa if nana is nana...not naanaa or is it the other way around

  • NEVER throw food to a seagull..... Esecially a flock of seagulls..... You will regret it for the rest of your days.... Trust me...

  • Next time your parked @ the beach, throw some food on a neighbouring vehicle then sit back & enjoy the show

  • SO TRUE!!!

  • @KiwiGirl246

    really?? why?

  • @iiLaala13

Have you ever seen a seagull attack?:) they're vicious. you give them one piece of food and they swoop down on you for more. we get lots of seagull at our school because people either drop food or feed them. since our school isn't one big building, but a bunch of separated blocks, it can be a right pain in the arse to get from class to class with seagulls attacking your bags........

  • @KiwiGirl246

woah...lol thats never happened to me before but thanks ill keep

    that in mind =]

  • @KiwiGirl246 yeah.. we learned.

  • @KiwiGirl246 that is completely true

  • sweet as

  • Whats the easiest way to change an american accent to a kiwi accent??

  • The easiest way is also the best and most enjoyable way: move to New Zealand!!

  • I cant afford that : (

But next year summer I am going for 1 week haha.

Its so frustrating that other people can do it effortlessly and Im stuck with a normal accent : (

  • Yep, but I think it's probably also pretty easy to like, change the e in accent to a eee sound and e in american to an eee sound... i guess

  • if u do then its not kiwi anymore but an ozzie accent .

  • Lol, funny vid.. Awesome

  • Thanks!!

  • great vid!

  • Thanks!

  • What a dork lol a friend from the uk tried to mimic our u.s. accent and sounded like a retarded neanderthal and i know how a neanderthal sounds like lol

  • ROFL

I think British, Irish, and New York are the easiest to fake, in that order. (easiest to hardest)

  • Scottish is pretty easy..

  • theyre not saying arse, theyre saying "sweet as"

its a kiwi slang term, with the same meaning as if your saying "thats cool"

  • Hi, we didn't say that word, and we actually don't say it in our language. like what incubusnutter said.

  • Now Im confused, im kiwi and kiwis say "sweet as" which sounds like ass (arse) in american. incubusnutter is trying to explain this and I think you meant BennyB5555 is incorrect, which is true. however your kids cute tho, hes similar to my nephew hehe
