  • Thank you for uploading this ~ great piece of music education history.

  • Yeah, makes perfect sense. Mudslinging and backstabbing has been one of the two main ingredients in the history of Yes, and the other is this fake "spirituality" nonsense that obviously has no bearing on the final result. Rather the contrary it shows how superstitious beliefs wears peoples mental immune systems down and stop them from being responsible, levelheaded and rational. Same with Jon Anderson and his hocus pocus world. He's into fucking Jehova now? Great musicians in spite of their god

  • It would be easy to dismiss Rick Wakeman as just another one of the sacred cows of rock music, if not for the facts that A) he is one of the greatest musicians to ever touch a keyboard, and B) he's a wonderful person. I hope I get to meet him some day. He's been such a huge influence on me...

  • I love Rick and his work. But he should take credit for his own talent and work, and not give it to any god.

  • @keter1234 Music touches the soul.

  • 'Music is a gift from God'...enough said.

  • @psychochippy But what is God?? not ' nuff said !

  • Really realy good

  • swag when he was playing it

  • God Bless Rick.

  • what a true legend this man is first got into his music when i was 17 in 1970 love all his music and the mini moogs

  • YES

  • The piano makes that song great.

  • I would say that Rick arranged Morning has Broken then , not Cat.... I'm just sayin

  • @samscott54

Cat Stevens rewrote the hymn as a popular song, Rick helped him put it together. I'd say it's pretty 50-50.

  • @samscott54 not true. the melody was Cat Stevens. Rick played the melody. you dont say a drummer wrote a song because he played drums...

  • @papillon786 Actually the melody is "Bunessan," an old Irish hymn tune.

  • He also told this story at his solo show in Edinburgh (Queen's Hall) - 29 April 2010.

    :)

  • This is probably from "Songs of Praise"

  • He's playing "The Da Vinci Variations" at the start, right?

  • He is the greatest. The Ultimate Yes Keyboardist. A real genius.

    For Ever.

  • Lovely

  • how cool :D
