@AVFC0711 Obviously not the people that listen to him, like you or me, but he's not as well known as other "mainstream" guitar players like Vai or Satriani, and he's just as good (or better...than Vai anyway). I bet he doesn't sell many reccords. Maybe underated is not the word. What I really wanna say is that the guy is a fuckin genious!!!!!!!! Pure talent, tone, melody, and emotion.

@guidines83 Instrumental guitarist is both redundant and inaccurate. Andy's tone is meant to replicate the human voice, but his guitar isn't still technically "singing". Guitar is an instrument, therefore always instrumental.

For me Andy is a great connection of old Strat masters (like SRV) with 90's Satch, Vai like Ibanez sounds. Plus he's brilliant technique and innovation in playing gives me a feeling that he plays common stuff, but delivered with new quality. And he's live gig is trully amazing :D

For me Andy is a new strat master (albums 1997-2006) , SRV is an old strat master (albums 1983-1990) and Hendrix is like very old strat master and man who popularized effects with Strat (albums 1967-70). Buddy Guy and even further Robert Johnson are prehistorical masters of blues. For me Buddy Guy is not to compare because of the tone. @slanderoushalo very influenced by SRV (he wrote a song in memory of SRV) and SRV was totally influenced by Hendrix. This is for my a clear way of developing distorted Strat. I adore Buddy Guy but he never reached out of simple blues patterns, he was just a brilliant Strat blues player, not inventor type of guy that previous 3 guys were/are. That's why I admire Andy, SRV, Hendrix so much - they outrun their era and give a lot of inspiration to followers because of their innovation in tone,
