  • Bobby... You're awesome!

  • what does that mean?! the japanese sentence bobby said

  • @eclipse572 from the LITTLE japanese i know i think he said " since before you were born " or something like that

  • KIMI??? LOL!!!!! XDDDDD

that's very nice of him to say KIMI to Sammy XDDD was laughing not just a bit :DDD

  • Well, In Japan they have Engrish...here we go with Japanese one can't understand! Had to find out transcript to figure what he said ><

But It's pretty good considering he's native english speaking the pronunciation of the languages is totaly differend so I guess it's hard for them to make it sound like normal japanese.

  • ...wow, his pronunciation does suck... worse than a lot of my fellow "gaijin" at work... but I still love him!

  • his japanese sounded really un-japanese-y XD

  • Whether or not people think his accent's bad, Jim Beaver IS fluent in Japanese. Read a book, people.

  • His pronunciation is actually really good,

  • The man is fluent in japanese you know!

  • @a0me what does it mean?

  • his speech is horrible, I barely made out what he said XDDD

but still, Bobby - GIANT CHECK!!!!!!

"kimi naku umareru mae kara ZUTTO da yo"

"before you were born" oh, Bobby!! ^^

  • Dude, that was so fail. XD I only understood the last "da yo", the rest was just american wannabe japanese. XD

  • No offense but, he kind of sound like he's drunk... At least he tried I guess! :3

  • I look It up From what a0me commented

    君なんか生まれる前から、ずっとだよ。

    It translated into

Since before you were born; all the time.

  • gotta love bobby

  • I love Bobby. Jim Beaver studied Japanese in school actually. :)

  • One more thing, the Kanji (Chinese characters) on that little old book do say "Ghost infected disease", not some random bull stuff....it shows the crew did do the research on the subject material. :) Supernatural 4ever!

  • The pronunciation is obviously that of a foreigner, but the grammar is perfectly fine, if slightly archaic. Dunno what you're talking about, Zerathos986.

  • It doesn't have quite the same flow though. I mean, roughly same concept, but it's like any literal translation. You lose out on context. So, the grammar checks out, but it's rugged.

Anyway, like aqua said, I do appreciate going for the effect. Fits more to the audience than using a Japanese equivalent.

  • yes, it does have good flow though. Japanese is my first language so I would know :)

  • Bobby actually says:

    君なんか生まれる前から、ずっとだよ。

kimi nanka umareru mae kara zutto da yo.

    which is perfectly good grammar.

  • @a0me Haha yuppers! I FREAKED when he said it. ^_^

  • Thanks for translating! Made my life easier. :P
