How does Barack's comments add to the vision of unity. When he says that Republicans will try to scare voters with his ethnicity, he is making the claim that 1.) Republicans are racist, 2.) maybe even McCain is racist, and 3.) that some voters may even be racist. Saying that half the country would be overly sensitive to a black man in office does nothing to unite the two sides.
