A normal type can't hit a Ghost type there is no explanation behind just the same as why a psychic type can't hit a dark type if you think logically. Like...an Espeon can't hit a Umbreon which is not true at ALL!! So Nintendo logic is almost the furthest thing from reality, which is very sad.
