@maqsizu - (ssl) Simple tutu? As in the loopover everybody does or my tuck-and-tie? This uses a lot less tulle than the tuck and tie and I believe more tulle than a single-tiered loopover. As far as more expensive, that would depend on the type of tulle. I only used one spool of 25' tulle for this child-size tutu. You don't really have to use a machine, if you don't mind ladderstitching every layer down to the band. It shouldn't cost more than ten dollars.
@WildTeaginFoundation - Absolutely. In the Tutu Timeline video I posted, the last three are made with this method. The white I wear with leggings, but the pink and green ones are appropriate in length for just tights. Just remember how far you're letting the tulle drop after it's sewn on. It will layer itself when you flip it upside down.
@cassiebitch - Okay, I'm going to sit here and count them because I can never remember: Layers 1 and 2, doubled rows of pleats. Layers 3, 4, and 5- a single row of pleats. Layer 6- another double row of pleats.
Thanks hun, been watching hundreds of how to make a tutu videos on youtube.... I finally found my fav!! This is exactly the type of tutu tht i want!! Wanna make a black n white multi layered, full tutu for my halloween costume!! So maybe i will first do it with 2 layers of white, then add 3 layers of black on top (may need more layers, coz i want it real full n poofy) how many layers did u do for the pink one??
@dunnoabc123 - I believe it was five or six, but some of them were doubled up, so it varies. I'd say once you see how much it takes for one layer, adjust accordingly.
@khayotikk - You are so welcome... I know somebody else had posted the same basic idea, but I can't for the life of me find it on YouTube anywhere... So glad it's what you're looking for!
Teach , it is thisTutul more expensive than the simple TUTU ?
I think it is because we have to sew by machine ... Please, let me know.
Thank You
