@simonmooney Jon Landau, he replaced Mike Appel as Bruces co-producer. Google him and you will find out how instrumental he was to Bruces career after Born to Run.
Amazing ! One question though, the piano part is from thunder road in hammersmith right ? Somebody has a version with ONLY the piano and not Bruce singing?
time and newsweek, cover... same week!!!! to this day that realization feels the same. thanks to steve, danny, clarence, max, roy,ms. patti an nils too !!!
damn that piano-intro played @ the beginning gives me the goosebumbs! I'm pretty sure it's from the first version of Thunderroad AKA Wings for Wheels but can't find it anywhere... is there anyone who has this recording?
Search Thunder Road Hammersmith on youtube and you get the acoustic version with that intro. You can find it on most p2p programs, just keep looking for Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road Live at the Hammersmith Odeon
It's incredible...only a few months ago I had discovered the music of Bruce and had listen to Born To Run for the first time. It changed my life and my views on some things. The Making Of is the missing piece that fulfilled my vision of the record and of Bruce at that time and my feelings about the songs. It's great and I'm so thankful that I had discovered his wonderful music.
I will see some shows this summer and I can't wait to share this music with him and the fans again!
You know your comment is funny in the sense that it did the same thing to me back in the 80's when I'd first heard it.Meaning that this album is as viable now as it was then. "Born to run" is an album for anyone that has ever, been confused, frustrated, desperate, hopefull or had a dream or a goal in life. I guess that means it's an album for all of us. To me it was a musical gift. One of the greatest ever written.
I think she doesn't says "promised land", she says "the primise".. "terry works in a rock 'n' roll band looking for the million dolars sound,i got a job down in dalligton, but some nights i dont go..but when the promise was broken..."etc etc very beautiful song
Hello! I cut this video top put the final part. I like it for emotional things that he says, and very important that Born to run was for a guy and his hopes, dreams and posibilities.
The subtitles are in spanish, because I'm spanish!
Bruce Springsteen is the best rock musician of all time. I think!
