  • the body of the corvette maight be light but the engine is to heavy

  • cmon man seriously...selling corvette to toyota...i would cry...

  • this show needs better writers and the show will be more tolerable.. car facts are on point but the jokes are lame.. and corny.. it becomes appearant through each episode that this guy is kiiling himself inside.. it's obvious that he knows and is aware of what he's saying but can't do anything but just read.. not your fault dude, i understand.. just need better writers with more humor and less "trying"..

  • damn i think that mustang looks good, also ford has an optional supercharged model you can get at the dealership that makes over 400hp.

  • at 0:15 it is an edited picture... why dont they ever make battery cars, or water cars or something.?. i dont get it.... the mustang is uglay!

  • OMG what a bunch of queers! Shut the fuck up already. Whats the big deal, the Corvette has always been a big, heavy, inefficient piece of american crap. Toyota would be doing GM and the vette a favor. We could be looking at the new Supra! Now before you all get your panties in a bunch talking about me being one sided, no way, I got an '06 Scion xB with a sound system that would make your ears bleed and a '05 Chevy Impala SS making just over 300 hp. So pull your heads out, or, buy a P.O.S. Ford.

  • who cares about a sound system

  • the Corvette has always been a big, heavy, inefficient piece of american crap.

I mean, it's Big. Heavy. American. (and you didn't spell "American" correctly). And yes the big heavy fiberglass body 2-seater is "BIG AND HEAVY" LMAO!!!! It's OK, keep posting. Retards are people too.

  • I dont know what world you live in but a 1520kg sports car with 6.2l V8 is light weight.. the "big and heavy" corvette are still faster than any japanese cars on nurburgring.. just search wikipedia nurburgring lap times.. retard!!

  • Not sure what all the crying is about.

If Toyota were to take they would indeed do things to make it more like the famed GT40.

It would most likely get a DOHC, high compression, higher revving N/A engine and/or twin turbos offered...

...why people are crying about this, other than blind nationalism, is a mystery to me.

It would essentially be a high end sports car with a similar pedigree to the Cobalt SS.

  • oooh yeah a slanty eye corvette...domo hairygottoe

  • the corvette is an AMERICAN muscle car

    always has been

selling it to toyota would be sick and twisted

  • Right on!!!!!

  • If they had to sell it over seas I'd rather they sold the Vette to a British company like TVR. Be better if Ford bought it though, Ford needs something between the Mustang and the GT. God saying that left a bad taste in my mouth. Excuse me I need to mash my mouth out with some bar soap.

  • Dont care for or about the new Mustang designs. I have not likes Mustang scince they went away from the fox body 5.0. As far as Toyota taking Corvette that would be bad unless they kept the engine, remember when Lamborghini went through 3-4 owners, chrysler being one. They Lambo did not really change as far as the V-12 and it still looked good. If toyota does get it I hope they fix the current looks, the C-5 had the best lines but the new body style just lacks something. Best of luck to GM.

  • omg. the new mustang looks pitiful. The only thing that could make me want one is if it were $35k and could compete with an Evo, which I highly doubt. No point in this shit. At least the 05-09s will be a little cheaper now. THe 05-09s looked good, but still no mustang ive ever been in with the exception of the 04 SVT Cobra has ever been fun to drive. This model is made to rep the 70s where the mustangs got bulkier, just like the 05-09s were 60s. The 2010 doesnt look any smaller just uglier.

  • when the americans at GM finally figure how to turn on their brains, they'd see they could help getting out of the sh*t they're in by selling Pontiac which they screwed over and turned it from a sports division to a junk rebadging farm.

  • OH MY! WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY THINKING. corvette is an american icon ppl! do you sell the white house to another country and the americans rent it. No this is not happening. I refuse to beleive that shit. Their already set to execute the viper. What other american sportscar would I buy. ps a mustang isnt a sportscar.

  • Agree! If Toyota owns the Corvette just shoot me! I can see them changing the Architecture from a push rod V8 to a smaller dual over head cam no torque having pussy car like the rest of Toyota's gutless line.

  • yeah, you want some tiny unnamed toyota eco-box with no history and no intensity and nothing to show for so you don't visit the garage instead of a car that's been carved in history for ever.

  • I would rather see the Vette become European than Japanese if America can't hold onto it. And that pic of a "Toyota Corvette" made me throw up in my mouth.

  • no to Toyota corvette

  • no me gustan los mustang jejeje... son una mierda de carros, teniendo tanta cilindrada, apenas y llegan a los 300 caballos.....

  • i'm australian, and i love japanese cars. but toyota taking over the corvette? i understand that the corvette has been an american icon since the 50s and it should stay that way.

  • toyota doesn't even fucking have a supra anymore, I don't see how they could purvey the corvette name better than they have already, the C5R changed everything, and thats all chevy's intentions. Also i read a comment that said Europeans hate the corvette, but thats not true, they rock z06's and TOP GEAR just raved about the new ZR1. Corvettes just became super bad ass, it'd be a shame to lose it all now.

  • corvettes have always been super badass

  • whatever you say chief

  • another diesel sports car? well the audi r10 le mans was pretty good lets see how this goes.

  • GM just got kicked in the head. Toyota adopting kids now LOL. I never thought Domestic cars were that great any ways. Outside might look nice but interior looks like crap.

  • Traditionally domestic quality sucks badly, but as of recently they have done some good things. The Malibu has a pretty nice interior for its class, and the CTS's interior is VERY good. Looks similar to a G37 inside. So I give them that, but years of substandard quality has given them the reputation which is killing them and the economy now. When people start m,aking money the first thing they want is an import because of that. Like BMW, Merc, AUdi, Lexus etc. They killed themselves.

  • My whole family use to own Domestic for 12 years. I love them too but after all the suffering we went to. Imports like BMW and Toyota took over in no time. Even I wanna get a BMW now but with the economy as low as it is right now I could use a Toyota. Hope it get better and price of every car should drop.

  • Naww it just won't work:

"I am a real American, I drive a Toyota Corvette!"

    Psh!

  • 19s!!!! Jesus Christ.

  • Derek, dude! you got to do an extra minute on the Ford Mustang 2010. Its probably going to be a better car than the Camaro. And, i am crossing my figures here, hopefully Ford wont be the only muscle car company that survives till 2010

  • Dude with all the new girly add-ons the new mustangs can no longer be considered muscle cars. And with all the new girly designs the muscle car is now dead. The mustang is now a girl's car as opposed to the 1960's mustangs which were real muscle cars.

  • The mustang is now a sports car, not a muscle car.

  • The Mustang isn't, and never has been, a muscle car. It's a pony car, plain and simple. It has never been as fast as a Camaro or Challenger.

  • he did the slash thing wrong. lol

  • no no no no no.. the man bettr give GM some of that bail out money, because the corvette going to toyota would be a damn shame.. if anything it should go to nissan, because at least that can make a car that competes with it.. i would love to see toyota try to claim ownership of any vette poster i have on my wall.. corvette for life! (in north america)

  • OMG i would hate that if Toyota took over the GM, Its called AMERICAN Muscle, not Japan Ricebox Muscle.

  • LMAO

  • Toyota Corvette? geez...it just doesn't sound right. kinda like hearing a commercial say, "try the all new 2010 Honda Mustang" it's like trying to force a square peg in a round hole.

  • Toyota Corvette.

    You heard it here first.

  • Hahaha. Matt Farah.

  • pron not porn :P

  • FU*K NO!

toyota is cool, but the vette should not use their engines. that would be one hell of a bastard child.

even clarkson likes the zr1. and he hates all american cars. all of e'm! maybe not literally.

    but you get the pic.

  • Well maybe only if it was an option so if you were naive you would get it While leaving the Chevy legend alive With Available purchasing..Also A Toyota V8 Car engine Would have some Crazy specs..Can anyone say twin turbo V8...I still have mixed comments on this why cant Toyota Just try.Bring back the Supra With the Chevy Equivalent and lets race..

  • I Totally agree that Toyota should make their own car and not try to provide a service for and already successful Car and Engine

  • I totally agree that Toyota* Should make their own car and not try to provide a service for an already successful Car and Engine.I think The Car market Could handle a new Supercar from Toyota Equivalent to the Chevy Corvette.. IF Toyota has a V8 block that could equal a Chev 427 Well go to it build a body Too..

  • i love American cars, but i think the big 3 failing is, from a car lovers perspective, a great thing. think about it, over the past century the U.s. has lost its once wide variety in auto manufacturers. if the big 3 fail, this opens the door to those independent type companies, and possibly an automotive renaissance. starting from scratch also gives the possibility of alternative fuel vehicles and cheaper prices

  • a point very well made, my good sir. american cars, to me at least, no matter how crappy they were, have always had some indistinguishable character. i even took to liking a dodge caravan i rented once, haha! but the fall of the big 3 would mean that remaining automakers would have to fill in the holes with something that supersedes them, and like you said, would mean small carmakers would get an opportunity to enter the fray. it's gonna be exciting!!!

  • If chevy dies so dose the vett. Toyota should produce its own super sports car with its own style. Cars come and go thats what makes it more then it is.

  • corvette go to toyota, why not give the prius to BMW and make it a ///M car...GM should never do this. that car made history

  • wow it looks amazing, ill try convincing my parents to get me 1 when i get my liscense lol

  • Vaseline Daily

  • What an annoying idiot. FLD, if you changed the host you'd receive alot more hits.

  • ur a dumbass, u try doing better? Derek D is amazing

  • maybe after toyota takes over the corvette, they will send the tundra engine to yamaha and give it more POWER, like what they did to the lexus isf..

  • If we all stick together and promise to burn every Yota dealership to the ground, this proposed madness will be stopped. NK.

  • corvette with a toyota engine? no way man! that's like putting a... a.. a mouse in a milk bottle!

  • the mustang looks awesome

  • i hope toyota takes the vette

  • Derek D, man. Doesn't know how to drive, but he's funny!

  • No Derek D, not that type of Venice...lol See, I know my Italy too.

  • Honestly, people who buy Corvettes buy them for the fact that they're American with the good 'ol American MUSCLE power plant. A Toyota Tundra V8? I can see the sales of the Corvette slow to a halt. Ruining a true American classic.

P.S. Thanks for not mentioning our Air Quality in the L.A. area due to all the wild fires. Keeping our beautiful SoCal reputation.

  • don't worry if toyota takes corvette it will be ok cause remember toyota owns lexus and one of lexus 4door cars got a a 7.0L v8 that puts out 500hp (hi rev engine) so they may turbocharge it for way more power and drop it in the vette

  • DD you are a lucky b@st@rd..i'm freezing my ass here in portugal. i love the new mustang. make engines we can make really good mpg, bring it to europe and i´m sure it will help ford with the crisis. the world will be a worst place without vettes, so maybe it´s better if they exist with a toyota v8 that not at all...

  • No i dont want a toyota corvette becaus it would be called something like the Hichimachi or something like that

    ANd that would suck

  • Toyota taking over Corvette? Interesting....

  • dude the rear tails on the stag are like the mitsubishi fto.

  • Corvette should just get canned.

Who wants a fast plastic based automobile these days?

  • somebody who wants to can a farrari

  • I would if it was cheaper than a civic.

  • wtf a corvett with toyota wtf the nice corvett with a fucking prius engine man thats messed up gm is better off and besides they can use the money fuck toyota

  • ha ha did you see those guido fags in the beginning of the video

  • The only reason toyota has intrest in the corvette is because they cant come up with a competitive car of thier own... it would be pretty gay if this were to happen

  • no the only reason toyota would want this is so they wouldnt have to make the new supra with thare lazy ass

  • Exactly.

I don't think we have to worry about it, though. The government isn't going to just let the big 3 die, there are too many jobs on the line.

  • so true! i'm getting pretty impatient wait for their next sports car. But i'm liking what i hear about their next FR:D

  • yea thats true and i cant wait for the new nsx and skyline v spec hope this one is not a let down and gm need to stop trying to start stuff with nissan nissan made the gtr for the porsha 911 then gm trys to be smart amd makes that zr1 they should of saved the money for the volt 2 lol now the v spec is comeing so whats gm gonna do make a zr2 lol

  • they didnt make the zr1 because of the gt-r. at all...

  • Exactly.

I don't think we have to worry about it, though. The government isn't going to just let the big 3 die, there are too many jobs on the line.

  • LF-A is actually right up there with ZR1 on lap time around the nurburgring(actually beating it by a couple seconds) so i wouldn't exactly say they "can't". if anyone can it actually is toyota. but as far as them actually doing it is another story... unfortunately toyota's focus is on a sustainable future and not on the people who want to go faster(1/2 of me:D). Part of the reason GM is headed to bankruptcy and Toyota is not...

  • Yeah but look at the sale numers next fall. I would bet my left nut that the ZR1 kicks the shit out of any toyta in its class. I wansn't talking about the performance as much as the car being profitable

  • well i would definitely say your left nut is safe. but if you were to bet that left nut on sales in japan in may not be so lucky. but unfortunately toyota is sitting out on the performance category for now so there wouldn't be anything to bet it on... but you can't honestly believe that the corvette would be outselling by sheer engineering. its the most popular AMERICAN car. of course it will outsell. but maybe the reason toyota is sitting out is because the sports car market isn't so profitable

  • and look at toyota vs. GM overall sales numbers lol. i think if either company is more capable of profiting it would be toyota. all this does not mean the zr1 is not a good car. it is phenomenal and i would personally take it over the GT-R and that is coming from a guy who lives for japanese cars.

  • GM's problems are not because of them making fast cars. It would only be a select few models among their many brands that were aimed at the performance market.

Unfortunately, GM's many brands were marketing similar products against each other, which in anyone's books is a recipe for disaster.

Besides, GM's "whitegoods" cars don't compare too well against Toyota's offerings at the same market, and "hero" cars are expensive to produce.

  • there's actually a pretty long list of why GM is about to go bankrupt but I personally believe that it has to do with them not considering the fluctuation of gas prices(which toyota has been doing for a while now) and because they build strictly to please and not to progress. ya the new tahoe has lcd nav screens but it still guzzles gas at an incredible rate. they are only beginning to understand this which is why they are starting to make fuel efficient cars and cutting production of SUV's

  • Thank god PRON replaced Brandon and the Fag

  • I like the new Mustang

  • toyota v8> anything chevy makes

  • and hellllll fucking no gm keep making the vette fuck toyota

  • i love how dumb asss out there are bashing gm all auto makers are sufering not just gm and for all you pepole that dont live in america keep you mouth shout your country is doin bad to gm dodge and ford rule

  • GOD TOYOTA CORVETTE... I think Im going to vomit

  • SOO yea...when will GM DIE???

    soon right?

    Anyhow...

How many Americans are working for GM?? If they are gone...SUCKS for THE WORKERS...ahahaha forget about the new vet...

  • thats fucked up bro. Yeah ther cars suck but thats ppls jobs

  • We cant have the japanese taking america's flagship vehicle. id rather see the british or the australians handle it for awhile.

  • thank you america need to be self relieint

  • loved the toyota-vette pic! it was hilarious!

  • where?

  • Toyota getting the Vette would be the best, it would then be a badass car that is also reliable. U cant beat that with Mandingo's D***!!!

  • your so stupid toyota sucks gm just flat out owns toyota it would fuck the vette all up it would be slow made cheap and would rust in the first year the vettes are the best american car

  • AHEM- Toyota has been one of the top companys for recalls, even beating out ford (a formidable task indeed). If a vehicle has a recall issued for it i would say it is not all that reliable, even though toyota will corret the defect.

  • I think it takes balls for a company to admit recalls for the sake of public safety. Toyotas recalls are rarely acted upon by deaths. They investigate isolated incidents and act swiftly on them to prevent a PR nightmare. Remember when Ford delayed recalls on the Explorers exploding tires 9 years ago? Dozens of people died and lawsuits were paid out. Explorer is no longer a best seller. In fact the Prius now sells better than the explorer. If a Tahoe had a potential issue would GM act?

  • honestly it is common sense that toyota makes reliable cars. most people, regardless of their understanding of vehicles know that toyota is known for making reliable vehicles.

  • I hope u had shades on when u climbed from under your rock, cause u have obviously been there for a long time! The vette is the best american car, but thats like saying ur the smartest retard, GM quality sucks, read a consumer report frome time to time dumbass.

  • If I bought a Toyota powered Corvette do I get a cute little exhaust tip that glows pink, a Pokemon inspired interior, and neon lights underneath to light up my mom's driveway? Keep it muscle!

  • and how old r u?

  • Old enough to recognize sarcasm when I see it.

  • take the v8 out of the corvette and put the 2jz from the supra in it =o

    jokes.

  • Yo guys WTF is up with all the ads now, quit it

  • its a business, they need money ...... would you rather have a 30 sec add that you can skip through, or 3 minutes of commercial on TV ?

  • Toyota v8 in a vette wtf. if toyota takes over gm there is no way anyone would stand for that, domestic or foreign buyers.

  • really? because i dont see much more of an option for gm, and i dont think theyd have much of a say, they are pretty hosed if they dont allow a takeover

  • I think that it would be really funny if Toyota got the Corvette..... Then it well mean that the Corvette is this goin to be called an slamed ricer to everyone here in the US =P

  • WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF........ toyota takin over the PIMP corvette is a total waste...... and puttin a v8 under the hood then this bullshit ass geek toyota beetter not touch our treasure and beast

  • that's a new, a ford news not about crisis :)

Will they have aby money to produce it?

  • I think that the corvette would be best taken over by Toyota, they are probably the closest thing to GM as far as styling and type of vehicles. Nissan is too nerdy and high tech, Honda sucks, BMW is way to good, Merc is bad quality/chincy and eveyone else wouldn't fit the bill.

  • Boo dont sell out to a japanese maker. Chances are they'd try and drop some import motor in it (Like fast and the furious tokyo drift, at the end). and yea... I wonder if bugatti would take it.... sumthin to consider :)

  • fuck brandon and the fag

  • Toyota builds awesome vehicles. If the keep the front engine, rear wheel drive, then the Corvette would keep its soul, and could become a much better product.

  • I don't think any Japanese or other company should take over the Corvette. It's an AMERICAN icon! However, if GM was to go under, I'd say give it to the man who's made some of the baddest Vette's ever, Callaway! Let them keep the Vette going! I'm sure they'd be up to it. People actually buy the Corvette. It's every other car in GM's lineup that's the problem!

  • Toyota will improve the Corvette a lot... But you can't improve the sand Derek stood on, he RUINED it! I'll never go to Venice beach just because of him! :)

  • if a toyota vette ever happened id kill myself

  • keep the tater-tots away from american muscle

  • toyota corvette, theirs an idea.

A vette, that doesn't lose its roof, bake you like a turkey when you drive it, have the clutch pedal stick to the floor, rattle like a box of toys, have a wooden floor, have cracked rorors, have a dash from a cobalt, have block that splits when more than 1000hp is seen W/O sleeving.

    Sounds like a good idea.

But somehow it will still be like chrome plated cowboy boots.

Maybe they should just stick a fork in it.

  • i will never buy a Toyot a Corvette

  • audi or one of its companes should take over corvette should the ever go under...pray they do not

  • That would NEVER happen. For one they don't make bargain sports cars. 2 the R8 and Z06 under the same roof, especially porsche owing 40% of Audi Would be STUPID. Think about it the R8 competes with the 911, the Z06 competes with both. It would kill business to have all of these competing cars under the same roof. Also Audi making a Corvette expect with the interior quality, and price going up, expect the weight to go up as well.

  • i said or one of its companies, r u blind? audi could pass it off to like Vw or something and totaly remake the corvette as we know, audi has some solid V8's it was only my idea and you need to learn how to read son.

  • VW's gonna be owned by porsche pretty soon so i doubt they would take on the corvette brand, its a liability, me thinks some one like renault who doesnt really have a top end sports car but then agin to sell a corvette outside the US they'd have to turn it into say a 911, so may VW isnt a bad idea lol

  • Volkswagen does'nt makle sports cars, they make economy luxury cars. Audi makes sports cars. Learn to use common sense, son. You sound absolutely idiotic.

  • Volkswagon makes porche engines.

  • porsche..... oops!

  • haha toyota doesnt make a sports car either, and maybe its time the vette got a remake have you ever thought of that? at least VW knows how to make a car sporty the GTI, GLI, come on you have to look @ all the possibilities. And maybe your the idiotic one for being so close minded.

  • I agree on the Vette remake, it should become a four door sedan with a v6 and no more than 170hp (with a GT version touching the 200hp mark) and make baby seats standard.

  • The GTI is NOT a sports car and neither is the GLI. You have made a ool of yourself. I guess the Supra, MR2, and Celica GT4 is nothing. You're an idiot that makes no sense when you talk. I'm not being close minded but you're just stupid. Why would the owner of Audi, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and part owner Porsche want a Corvette for? Im being real, the Corvette would do nothing for them especialy in Europe. Europeans hate the Corvette, it would do nothing for them to own the Corvette.

  • Also Toyota does make a sportscar STUPID, ever heard of the Lexus IS-f. They choose not to because they are a company more focused on money. and the Prius has a waiting list longer than the F430 Ferrari, in other words they stopped making sportscars because there isn't enough mney in sportscars anymore. That doesn't mean that they can't. I think their racing history is proof positive taht they can make a sick supercar.

  • well f430s are slightly exspensive which would exsplain the lower demand for them

  • Slightly expensive. PSssh yeah right, good way of putting it. But at the sametime that still says a TON for the Prius. A mass produced car taht has a waiting list is insanely good. You have to give it that much.

  • I would like the idea of Toyota taking over Corvette. Toyota has always been very good atr making incredible handling crs, reliability, and well-crafted interiors. But at the same time Corvette has been a major part of American history and lineage. From a car enthusiast side, sure. But from the aspect of an American it would be a chunk ripped from American history. That's like a Chevrolet Supra SS/TT! or Maybe a Pontiac MR2 WS6.

  • Oh sweet baby Jesus. If they ever decide to give the Corvette name to Toyota, I will have to kill myself. I hate Japanese automakers as it is. I would love to see the Corvette go to Mercedes. I mean cmon look at the stuff they've produced in the past year. What in the world has Toyota done other than make generic, cheap (price wise) cars. I mean GM outsold them by 3000 cars in 2007. All in all, if they did this stupid act of well stupidity, I would be forced to blow up every Toyota plant.

  • You do understand that 3000 cars is marginal at best. Not only that but GM is comprised of more than 8 automakers including Opel vs. Scion, Toyota and Lexus. Also Toyota is amazing at making sports cars if you knew theiur history. They have had a hugely successful race history from the Toyota GT-ONE of the 90's which dominated the F1 scene. To the Celica GT-4 All-Track which crushed Audi, Subaru, and Mitsubishi in Rallycross and hillclimb. And the Supra which still dominates today. Dont sleep!

  • First of all, the GT-ONE was a Lemans Touring car. Second of all the LF-A which is from the luxury division from Toyota had completely been bogged. If you're going to bring automakers in then lets bring in VW which is my favourite company. The VAG is comprised of 7 companies, 4 of them which make supercars, possibly 5 if you would like to include Seat. Now I lean more towards them if you're talking about sports cars. Toyota should stick to plasticy, "sporty", and economic cars.

  • What are you talking about AUdi for. We were talking about Toyota, are you just the type that likes to argue but make stupid claims that don't make sense as long as you are disagreeing? My point is don't discredit Toyota, especially under GM. Isn't it GM that is asking for 12bil while they are going bankrupt? Who has the worst global reputation GM or Toyota? And you say Plastic Toyota's, I hope you aren't trying to claim that a GM is more luxurious than a competing toyota? Wow, ignorance.

  • You said GM has all these companies and blah blah, but they don't fully own them, and I said if you want a good company to give the Vette to give it to VAG because they have MANY different types of sports cars, not just the Corolla S, LOL. You're the one comparing the stupid shit. I never compared Toyota to GM ONCE. I've been talking about VAG vs. Toyota, I think you're the one who's not making sense.

  • What the hell are you talking about? The whole debate was about the Corvette and how you opposed to them going to Toyota, then in some random ass thought and post you bring up Volkswagen Group, out of thin air. Which had no relevance to the conversation at hand. you're not making any sense at all. Like I sadid you don't debate you argue, you say a bunch of non sense just to talk.

  • I brought it up because it could be a well suited home for the Vette. You said since GM was comprised of different companies and blah blah they should give it to one of their companies. Why not sell it off to another company like VW who regularly produces powerful engines. I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind seeing a special edition W12 or V12 TDI Corvette, that's me though, I like different things.

  • Yes and I never said that it wouldn't be a fun thought, I simply said taht would be next to impossible. And I actually don't think it would be a good deal at all. VW doesnt make light cars, nor do they make push rod V8's. It wouldn't be anything close to a Vette. Nor do they make inexpensive cars. The GTI can go for up to 30k, without the R32 package. So it would turn into a heavy, luxo-vette, In otherwords a SL65 AMG. Toyota is known for light, inexpensive cars closer to a traditional Vette.

  • You can purchase an R32 for anywhere from 30-35 grand depending on its condition. Who cares if it's a "luxo-vette", I don't give a shit if the Vette was supposed to be loud and blah blah. If you're going under, either make it a separate brand and source it with crate motors, or don't mope about it and sell the molds, tech, and send the people to keep producing the same car with a different motor. You're assuming a complete rebuild, I'm talking about sourcing a motor into it.

  • The new Mustang looks cool, but it simply looks like a slightly revised version of the current one. It even has the same engine, what happened to the 5.0 they were talking about? It's just "so-so"

  • TOYOTA Corvette what is next?

Hyundai Viper? Hyundai has money they could buy it...

  • Nice a Pron Commercial! Good stuff

  • and usa smack dab in the middle lol

  • Toyoda changed the name in Toyota because of the Americans, then they builth factories in the USA, then they joined in NASCAR and now they buying Corvette...

The Japanese are invading the USA...

They are doing it since WW2...

  • Canada here I come lol jk. The new Mustang looks fantastic!

  • lol@QuickLaneDaily with Eric B

  • I think that a GM engine is the best way to go for a corvette. The Tundra engine is not the best engine. Plus nothing beats good old fashion pushrods.

  • Every AMG is a great car!!! Love them all...

  • thank fcuk no more handjob and the fag

  • i like the new mustang!!

  • man!! if toyota get there hands on the Vette, we might be looking at a better interior and better suspension..

  • I'd rather Audi help bail Chevvy out and take the 'Vette under it's wings. Audi has Lamborghini, so they shouldn't be baffled with "muscle" cars since they're used to handling italian/german muscles.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA midget/guido mind hahahahahahahahaha and yeah i love toyota i love corvettes but together i don't think so.
