He needs at least half a million probly. you know when Ron Paul won his district in the mid 70s it has always been democratic and he turned it Republican. Though it is true he delivered most of the babies in his district. maybe people felt compelled to vote for him I dont know. But for Dr Lawson to win it is possible with hard work

No offense fox fire but demographics dont win elections. People voting do. I live in this district and i know the people well. People are very unhappy with David Price. I am quite sure Obama will run up unheard of numbers in the triangle. Dont think however these same people will vote for Price. He has been upsetting a lot of people the last two years and since BJ is a viable alternative (the 1st i may add) Price will have problems come November.

No offense taken. I actually live right beside his district(Raleigh in District 2). Price isn't as popular in the 4th as his fellow Congressional Democrats (Brad Miller in the 12th & Bob Ethridge in the 2nd) but most people still vote straight ticket and in a year where people will becoming to the polls to vote against Republicans it presents a Herculean task for BJ.

Oh yeah...a quick side note: I believe the overwhelming majority of those Obama rangles up in the 4th District will be voting for Price. The campaigns have a good working relationship with each other since Price was the 2nd member of the NC delegation to endorse Obama (GK Butterfield of the 1st District was the first to do so).
