  • 2080 years from non

  • Great music!!!!! :D

  • In 2050, about all of those in college or high school now will be making bank later on. All that new tech will be the same price as the plane rides now.

  • 30-50 from now :)

  • can anyone tell me what the music is?

  • easiest plane to troll on

  • so damn amazing

  • But of course it will be using fossil fuels..

  • no way... so much tech and the guy walks on foot?

and i bet this plain doesn't have parachutes on board...

  • where's the pilot

  • finally it ALL comes down to gravity!!!

  • Who's flying it?

  • Well I guess it will have nice view when a bird hits the window, SPLAT!

  • so airbus makes this thing why boeing going to make that triangle weard looking thing. i made my (a) choise. although in my opinion, airplanes should stay round. that look just so much better, thats why i liked the a380 it is perfect round cilinder

  • Wait. So, if this plane will fall, then all of us will know that we're dying?

  • but, will it blend?

  • technological magic!

  • when the planes are that cool, teleportation will be possible

  • PLEASE THINK .HOW WE CAN FLY SAFELY,AND HOW WE CAN AVOID FIRE OR CRASH .PLEASE FORGET LUXURIOUS JOURNEY.IF OUR LIFE IS NOT IN SECURE IN AIR CRAFT WHAT IS THE BENIFT OF LUXOURIES JOURNEY

  • 1:35 dear faa, can we play wii golf on the airplane??

  • When is it going to be released

  • @kaarthickrox release in 2050,

  • I'd rather it be safe than new and cool. Hope there will be no more plane crashes in the future.

  • What is the soundtrack in this video?

  • NASA Pleases Make this airbus in the future!!!!! :)

  • OMG SO SEXYYY!!! :D

  • The new Airbus 320 is already a full generation ahead of the tawdry old 319. If the company continues at this pace then I expect their concept plane to hit the tarmac in 2024.

  • WHERE THE FRONT DOOR IS THE PILOT?:/

  • @MrJayjase Hi-res video camera in front would end the need to be physically up there, or it's fully auto-pilot by then.

  • ima be dead when this happens..

  • airplanes now are better

  • It is so sad because were in the future everyonewouldbeso old and we can't have funin games! Why isnt i born in the future1!!

  • I'm just a teenage so hopefully I'll be around to see these thing and be at the helm controlling them will be a dream. Technology has gone from the era of discovering and inventing to improving and refining. We have invented a plane now we are bettering it. If Airbus makes the plane in the video on a large scale (500 passengers) and makes it supersonic whilst being fuel efficient it will surely dominate the skies.

  • looks expensive!!!

  • The new shape of the aircraft will most definitely come true. Not too sure about the holographic lounge, adjustable glass (that can take the extreme pressure and speed) or self-cleaning seats. Give it 60/70 years when i'm gone :(

  • 1:21 In 2050 google maps still doesn't recognize South Sudan.

  • dear santa...

  • I'm going to be 65 when this comes. D:

  • @Rastakwer Aha. indeed young chap. :P

  • I can't wait to have to put on sunscreen on a plane.

  • @jbaev UV protective glass.

  • @ddd0iii0eee0

    Apparently:

"Most glass used for windows blocks UVB but not UVA. This means that

although glass greatly reduces the risk of sunburn, it does not

prevent long term damage from UVA. So, if you are driving long

distances or sitting in your conservatory every day for long periods

of time, with the sun beaming in on you, then you are putting yourself

    at risk."

The only UV protective glass I found was used for pictures, but I guess it's the future, so anything is possible

    ...vampires?

  • @jbaev Meh, I guess we'll just have to wait and see right?

  • yeaaaa.....and much is it gonna cost to ride this? half a million dollars?

  • @threepackbigmack well it wont be out until people can afford it, if it cost too much they wont get customers, thats why the concorde failed. so maybe in a few decades this will be around, and to add to it supersonic travel that we can afford will be around by 2050 too.

  • @threepackbigmack Stop being so damn complacent. It's a concept. If it's ever developed it will be decades from now. Do you really think that the planes we have today will continue to be used centuries from now? Whenever technologies like these are developed they end up being cheaper than the previous product. Get a grip.

  • @threepackbigmack At first perhaps but this has always been the way with technology. As it advances it becomes cheaper and cheaper until the point that a plane ride like this wouldn't cost more than it does now. Perhaps cheaper.

  • The inside of a plane will never be that spacious, because companies will always be under market pressure to maximize the number of people per flight.

  • @Rastakwer um....yeah. -_- you know what I mean.

  • lol. When the plane is about to crash the people is still enjoying the view inside.

Is this going to be possible?

  • ...For some odd reason this reminds me of the suit from crysis.

  • but will it blend?

  • What if i want to sleep? would that be comfortable

  • thumbs up if you got here from vsauce

  • Too bad that's never going to happen.

  • I want 1!!!

  • yes, yes but is this gonna stop me from getting air sick though?

  • Won't have any fuel left by 2050 anyways

  • @chelseamado Well, there is other options than fuel...

  • Look at the bright side, they still need to put the safety somewhere =p

  • I work at the airlines and I can tell you that after a few years this airplane will be abandoned because its upkeep fees are too expensive just like the Concorde.

  • Man I'll be a grandpa when this comes out(Let's hope the cure old age by then)

  • They said the year 2000 would be like the jetsons and in 2015 we're supposed to have hover boards and self lacing shoes (Back to the future part 2)

  • We all know that the amount of legroom shown here is not going to be anywhere near the real thing. If the airlines had it their way the seats wouldn't expand, they'd compact when you've sat down and move you into the smallest spot with zero leg room and finally pack everyone else in on top of you like some automated packing plant. Also who left out the bathrooms?

  • I am an engineering student and quite frankly, this is all BS!!! Condensation on the window panels, noise and excessive motors from the suitcases travelling overhead, expense of using holograms as tv screens, expense of creating movable structures in aircraft, motors required to move seat positions! Too costly, too inefficient for the airline industry.....not gonna happen! THe future of the airline industry is COST CUTTING!!!!

  • sunroof in a plane, good idea, but not really possible, because someone would have thought of that before and designed a plane with sunroof. but maybe in future with some harder materials. and those tables, so epic, i want one in my house.

  • i fucking hate flying with jetstar airways

  • Way too exaggerated, a notable fault is the check in system, baggage wouldn't be able to follow you in small chambers without making a whole load of noise and occasional jams, plus everyone would be constantly being watched if it were fully automated....

  • but will it blend ?

  • Reginald we do have the technology................but not the money. Go ride a bike instead.

  • Holograms? Right..

  • i have to wait 39 years for this? by that time gobal warming would have flood the earth

  • technology is surely going fast. and im not suprised that this will be out in years.

  • So where do we put the carry ons? O.O

  • Airbus is ahead of themselves. Also where do the pilots sit? O.o

  • Airbus is ahead of themselves.

  • will it have wi-fi?

  • @kevblog1 It will have in-flight dial-up.

  • OH MY GOD THats awesome O_O

  • so where does the pilot sit...

  • @superdan2010 fly it self

  • The transparent idea is cool but cant be good. Wouldn't it get extremely hot and stuffy in the plane if the sun would just shine through, just like what happens in cars with sunroofs?

  • @WolfChief1992 Ever heard of heat reflective glass?

  • the design is beautiful, and it all seems very nice

but it doesnt seem like the right idea of a plane meant for lots of randoms to all get onto

the 'interaction' part of the plane cuts the 2 areas off from each other is there is a conference being held inside

it can also only be used by one group of people at one time

the info dock at the front of the plane also seems kinda pointless

because of all the new tech in this, it shud be available on the seats themselve

    and where r the toilets?

  • ok... seriously its the year 2011 where the hell are our flying cars and teleporters :O

  • So we build The Enterprise next ?

  • What about food, toilets and stuff?!

  • lol screw this I just want better airplane food

  • Whether technology goes ahead is if there is a demand for it, This would be too expensive and not much better than 1st class travel, so neither the lower or middle class, and that would mean there would be less of these planes and the upper class may not want to wait longer when they can get a cheaper flight sooner.

  • They have and holodeck ? So I guess they'll be Jordy at the engeenering and Data at Pilotage. Well, I guess that Captain Picard and Riker will be at the cafeteria having a cup of tea. Oh wait, where's is it ?

  • Why is the future always white? Do we forget how to coordinate colors so we just give up and go with white? Also, that thing is too much window, I don't want to feel like I am personally flying though the air, I want to be enclosed by walls and a ceiling that prevent me from experiencing agoraphobia and acrophobia. I'll be impressed if they find away to make an airplane that can safely get passengers to the ground in the event of engine failure, terrorists, aliens, etc.

  • I'd prefer my DeLorean...

  • cool its like an avatar plane!!!

  • how about make this for homes before you think about puting it in a plane

  • they'll probably just copy boeing. LOL

  • this is a future plane but video is not hd

  • Ok 1. Windows would never work, Condensasion would fuck it all up. but overcome easely 2. Sound showers, get the fuck out. 3. Bags and items, they have problems NOW Let alone adding more computers. 4. It will proberly be run by vista, so were fucked. Happy flying :D

But i really would be nice to see this in my liftime... and working.

  • yes we can properly make this but we wont because they say not to. that thing will only be created to three vary powerful people or not at all, cus we live in a world governed by money and greed and therefore a thing that is good for everyone will never be made unless we can exploit someone for it.

  • F*** This video, I don't even feel like living the real world when i see this, i won't even probebly when it will be done :( Agree?

  • @Speedygamer7 I agree, we'll all be dead and gone before they come up with something as far fetched as this future plane!

  • i wish i was born in the future so i can see alot cool things

  • ekstra and when crases down ewerybody dies, same shit what aboyt anti grawity

  • nah this is too expensive, let's just keep our planes from the 70s going until the 2070s and charge people for the air they're breathing

  • Gesture recognition? Will it do sign language? Why don't they put in moving privacy partitions. They have a sound shower come and go.self cleaning seats? how does that work.anyway nice ideas there.if one guy wants to golf and others want to drink.can't we do both?. heh well, it's a long way from greyhound with a big lady snoring on my shoulder from S.C to NYC.

  • does anyone know the agency contracted to do this ? just wondering.

  • The true essence of bringing new product into design and development out from obscurity into something tangible is the ability to not allow ones process of thought to be constrained by what is possible now but rather what may be possible in the future...as distant into the future as it may be. All forward and innovation driven companies have such "outlandish" ideas in their pipeline... having said that werent we supposed to have terraformed Mars by now? we should already be piloting flying cars

  • Ya quiero ver ese futuro que me recuerda a la nave espacial de la pelicula Wall-E, espero verlo antes del fin del mundo LOL

  • they need to come out with that NOW! I cant wait 50 years!! Damnit why wasn't I born in the future... then again the world supposedly's gonna end next year so none of us will be alive >:D... lol j/k I'm just bitter.

  • @anbmjj

Haha same, we will be old fools when all the "fun" technology arrives! :P

  • @CyphenPhsyX people say that 50years ago to. look what we have now. so many games, and internet almost everywhere

  • @CyphenPhsyX hahaha u just said the same i was thnkng

  • @anbmjj

Neither Boeing or airbus will ever develop what is being shown in this video. Rest easy, we're not missing anything.....it's all fantasy and a lot of B.S.

  • @root3950 oh?... well that sucks ass! Getting my hopes up for nothing >:o!

  • @anbmjj ill be 64 in 50 years... i really wish this kind of stuff would be out now :D

  • "Why did the baby cross the road? Because it was stapled to the chicken!"

Remember people this, that's the key to stop this airplane when it goes nuts, like Blane ofthe dark tower books.

  • I really doubt any of these will happen , how much will the ticket cost?

  • The main problem with this concept is the huge wingspan, we already know that loner wings are better, but the size of the airplane is limited by the airport. Making airliners larger than an A-380 would require modifications in the runways and taxiways of the main airports of the world.

  • this is never gonna happen, period...we humans are so stuck, nothing has evolved in the last half century, no moon travel, no important space explorations... cars still have 4 wheels and work with gas... and the iphone is basically the same since 2006.

we will destroy our planet first before we get near close to any of this technologies

  • @galmacland Well why don't you have a go at designing a fucking hover car then!

  • Interesting model. But I have one issue with it (well, more than one really.) If that central hologram room with the four options in it, or whatever it is, can only have one setting on at a time, who gets to decide which setting it's on?

And who would ever choose an option other than "bar"?

  • There's so much bull crap in this video. Did you see the amount of leg room, even with full seating capacity?! Yeah right!! Future I see is not even seats, but more like those "stand up roller-coaster" set up. Where you've got a back rest and a bicycle seat shove up your crotch. Comfy! The future depicted in the video will only be for the mega rich.

  • People will never get on a plane thats not piloted. How would you cater for everyone on board in that virtual reality room too? Many people wouldnt get a go. Nice ideas all the same. They are certainly better than they are today.

  • Flying cars are overrated.

  • they made more fascinating stuff.. like making this aeroplane fly !!

  • Nice video, great tecnology Aero Espacial ,and bealtifull Airbus.....

daqui á 15 anos acredito que estes Super Airbus vão ser uma realidade

  • it'd take a lot of time for passengers to get in and have their seat.. =/

  • this seems too unreal for now.

  • @KIBProductionz I think they're trying to predict the possibilities of developing technologies such as nano tech, augmented reality and developing computing tech, such as quantum and light based.

The US should be doing a full on Manhattan project style effort for stuff like this. Actually, more than that we need a global war with mars effort scale push in developing our technological capabilities but people don't see our future as all that urgent in comparison to say: blowing each other up.

  • I would prefer a flying car and not haver to share my space w people who talk a lot or w crying babies-Of course you'd need a permit like normal cars and be tested and of course there's a chance of someone crashing into your house just like a normal car

  • Increíble!

  • Silly. For as amazing as this technology is, legislation would push this back a good 40 years after it is possible to create it.

    Politics hinder science.

  • Now for the price: only $5,000 for one seat from Houston to Chicago. Would you like laser fries with your synthetic burger? That will be $200

  • @pabzz88 LMAO

  • Damn future, you scary!

  • I only have two questions 1) are the bathrooms wall transparent? because if they are that would be cool that way when people start fucking in their we can all see. 2) why the fuck would I want transparent wall if The plain us falling outta of the sky?

  • they should make the walls transparent when a plane is about to crash......lol

  • they should make the walls transparent when a plane is about to crach.....lol

  • Bullshit

  • 2:10 The matrix warned us about machines harvesting human bodies for energy.

  • just buy a scroll of town portal for 150g. =D

  • I think the coolest thing in one of these planes is to be able to see the clouds passing all around you over 1000km/h...

  • hoooly shyet! AirShips are becoming Reality.

imma name my own Airbus as Highwind based from FF7 lol :D

  • We don't need new technology to provide for the world's population. We need people to stop accepting that it's OK for 5% of the world's population to control 95% of the wealth and resources.

  • @DJDVUS1 That's my question ..

  • This looks more to me like an demo movie for Final Fantasy. I'm just not sure who is gonna have money to fly such a thing. And damnit, stop shopping folks, you are traveling in the air!

  • 40 year is freakingg muchh, so everything is possible... in 1970s there was nothing, average car didn't had electric windows, and today, we are talking with computers in car, have gps, and 1000s of songs on HDD. IT era is crazy, everything progress 10x faster than before.

  • We're destroying the planet trying to produce more than we need now, and this is the future? Until everyone on the planet has clean water, sufficient food, and shelter, does anyone really need a transparent plane with holographic entertainment?

  • @RobertAdams68 yep =P

  • Bad economics and stupid politicians will make sure this doesn't happen.

Its all a mirage, like auto piloted cars, intelligent homes , and any other futuristic 3d models of the 'future' we've been shown.

  • This will never become a reality. The coming WW3 will prevent it from happening. Use your head to think for yourself...do not let others think for you and blind you with fantastic stories about glorious future which will never come in this form. The world is about to burst at its seams

  • @Corserpentis78 40 years ago, it was massive militaries and huge stockpiles of nuclear weapons that threatened everyone. Today, it's a handful of people with homemade bombs. Who's to say, in the future, all serious threats won't be eliminated?

  • I want it now!!!!

  • The shape changing plastic coatings on things could be constructed from electroactive polymers or some kind of shape memory alloy. The cabin would require some kind of advance transparent material capable of withstanding those kinds of stresses which could theoretically be built on the atomic scale atom by atom to increase material strength id further suggest that it would be combined with the the use of smart glass technology to control light levels and visibility depending on time of day.

  • Dont tell me the computer will fly this thing... i will never pay to fly in somthing who drive AI. A small EMP blast and will crash, more easy then today

  • This vision is not outlandish. Technology of today and tomorrow will greatly accelerate the knowledge needed to build this plane. In 40 years planes like this one will be very common.

  • @igeekone ohhhh yeahh.. talk shit.

  • @igeekone Flying Dildo

  • @igeekone Keep telling yourself that, passenger airline technology expands really slowly.

  • @igeekone because plains nowadays are so different to the ones 40 years ago

  • @igeekone That's hilarious. Go look up paleofuture blog. You will see tons of stuff of what people in the past thought the future would be. According to Back to the Future 2 flying cars are common place in 2015. That's 4 years from now.

  • @hardworker424 We're getting better at predicting future technology because we have better technology to predict it with. Also, look up the AT&T "You Will" commercials from the early 90s on paleofuture. And look up Moore's Law and Ray Kurzweil's singularity.

  • @igeekone when I was 6 years old my step-dad told me that by the time I'm 25 flying cars will be very common... I'm about to turn 24 and yet the closest things to flying cars are small groups of people taking on individual projects that go nowhere for the public... not to say that the tech won't exist but to believe that these will be common in 40 years is a bit much...
