Maradona was more explosive but Best was silkier and more honest as well. neither was all round as good as Cruyff who was the best two footed player in history in my opinion. Maradona was more explosive but Best was silkier and more honest as well. neither was all round as good as Cruyff who was the best two footed player in history in my opinion. It is often ignored that Diego was one footed.

@Cookielooky a bit heavy on forwards and light on midfielders ( perhaps Platini instead of Charlton ) but overall a great eleven. Gerd Muller on the bench if a goal was needed. its often forgotten that for all the talk of Cruyff, maradona etc Der Bomber was the most lethal pure striker of all.

All of them capable of winning a game on his own. All of them stars. Di Stefano and Puskas or Pele and Garrincha? well who can choose? Endlessly fascinating but there will never be an answer which is as it should be.
