It's not so much cheating as it is adding value to the game. I would not have played the countless hours on Oblivion if it weren't for great mods like Lost Paladins of the Divines, Supreme Magicka, among others, which really take the content of the game and overall enhance it. Sure I would have still played it a few times through, but it's been -awhile- since I bought it, and I still keep coming back to play.

Other good ones are the epic quest type mods, their names slip me at the moment though

There's a difference between modding and hacking. I never said hacking a game (especially not with online play) was okay. In pc games, to modify your interface & enhance your potential is okay but true, hackers suck, but most mods tend to be for the sole purpose of enhancing the game or modifying things to your preference. And sure most if not all fps games and same with mmo's have some competition going on but it's still meant for fun, not making it into something stressful..

The Gay Fox is the leader of the Thief's Guild, you will need to finish all Thief's Guild quests and then the former Gay Fox will give you the Gay Cowl and when you put it on you become the Gay Fox. Basically you can kill and mane at your desire. Just do not kill any NPC's that have names, as they will NOT re-spawn, but you can kill soldiers at your convenience. That in alone is worth going through the Thief Quests.
