  • Very thought provoking...and nice jump hook at the 2:55 mark.

  • 2:14 kobe

  • 5:34 - When you mentioned that in the early 2000's, upbeat music but the economy not being that great. That seems reminiscent of disco in the 70's, where the economy was bad but people went out and danced all night(mostly fueled by cocaine :-) ). Then came punk which was a rebellion to disco("disco" being called "manufactured"). So upbeat v sad music may reflect reality but one may argue that upbeat music during a bad economy is a manufactured contrivance.

  • Often it is argued whether life influences art or if art influences life. I feel it is a delicate dance where both are true more or less. Perception and reality are also doing a similar dance. If optimist can find a silver lining, they are more likely to stay in the fight. It is said that our mind is the most powerful weapon on Earth. This argument means WE shape and control our world.

  • @Lodog110776 Your remarks are very valid. Shaping our world ourselves reminds me of the fact that, although the economy was bad in the 70's, it was during the 70's that Microsoft and Apple were beginning to be built. Microsoft was not the behemoth that it is today at that time because it took time. Not to sound too optimistic(my own outlook is not indicative of my next stmt :-) ), but businesses today that are struggling may be the future Microsofts in the next 5-10 years.

  • It's is proven that social mood can lead to social changes like how people living in poverty where people can't get jobs and the purchasing power has been lost would result of more people subjecting themsevles to criminal activities. It not just people living in poverty, I've seen numerous cases where in suburban areas when people have lost everything and they just lose it. Plus, we all learn what people did during the great depression.

  • @hstone39

As for changes in things like music, movies, video games, and art, there always going to be something new and improved. In a way, those things can influence people because it give off an appeal. It gives something people can relate too. As for dealing with people's emotions, it can effect people's production in a work enviroment. You could be at work and your mind could be focused on something else.

  • You are a REAL SMART MAN, Demcad. The event & the mood are related. I'm a real-hick & I'd just say when folks think they're being 'screwed over' on purpose,> they get p#ssed-off & they want blood. (+the mood of the country obviously reflects the mood of the people.)

As for music & the mood of the USA:> Justin Bieber will soon start 'singing' Gangster Hip Hop which will really irk everyone.

It's time to get the preps ready folks, useless CDs can be used as ninja weapons.

  • demcad I thought you were trying to build a house with all those bricks, na just kidding, good vid

  • @Supratube1 I had plenty of airballs. lol

  • @DEMCAD well u shoot better then me now. I use to be real good when I was a kid. Went to the courts about a month ago, couldn't believe how bad I was. I thought it was a sport like riding a bike, apparently fat from it

  • Life is a balance scale with social mood on one side and physical conditions on the other. A rapid change on either side upsets the balance and as individuals we have to get life back into balance if possible. You hear lots of talk about the housing bubble but the stimulus for that was the rapid change in the cost of energy and the fact that disposable income plummeted. Watch the economy falter as fuel costs go up. Depression survivors will spend less and save more. The die is cast.

  • The peak of bubble gum pop was the peak of Britney Spears' career.

  • go look up the power of 1

  • @halani Toad

  • Mainstream music no matter what type is emotional brainwash garbage. I have discontinued my involvement with music unless it's soundtracks and or instrumentals by non mainstream artists. The best music is the kind no one cares about.

  • @DBZUTHOMEVIDS9000 Hip Hop instrumentals I find to be more suitable than having the vocals on top. Let the instruments speak for themselves.

  • wasnt it just snowing up there? this weather is crazy

  • I mainly listen to rock up to the loudest metal and I think it's great but there are days it absolutely annoys me. I then like to listen to classical music, esp piano.

Btw, some nice shots from far.

  • Interesting!

  • @halani I've talked about 911 on many accusations. Please search my channel.

  • @DEMCAD Do you believe 9/11 was an inside job?

  • Faith plays a large part in my mood. Regardless how bad it is I always know that it will work out for me and my family. The collective does play a part in our mood. I believe that when something bad happens to a larger population it will effect other populations that are not in the same area. I also stopped watching scarry movies, bad music, and try to avoid things that could drive fear into my ego.

  • Music can steer social behavior, not merely a reflection.

  • "consumer confidence", one of the most idiotic "statistics" ever invented.

  • Nice video!

  • Neh-vadah not the other way.

  • Woah... "white music"? Bro, don't fall down a rabbit hole of false paradigms in order to feel secure in your perspective. I grew up in the 70s, and I seem to remember extremely upbeat top tens alongside depressive economics and gas gouging. Half ot that was afrocentric but we all got along better, then. I think there are too many generalities thrown around these days, and too many social scientists, in order to ascertain a variable. I'd reference the Vedas or Dhammapada for a driving force...

  • Watching you shoot at the hoop causes me to not hear what your saying...? Just my take, I hope the new year is treating you well Demcad.

  • Demcad, I love you man, today your shooting basketballs, yesterday your were rolling around on the ground. You are a stud

  • The united police states of amerika is the only thing that runs our world. And the nwo runs all the other countries outside of our police state.

  • and title it, "sports while carrying". maybe some tennis too?

  • In your next post, you should put in video of you playing tether ball.

  • LMAO thats right man keep it real.. i like that you didnt edit the video to only shots you made.

  • Nirvana, NIN, and Smashing Pumpkins..... :)

  • Saluté & Hallo from Deutschland - Cologne !!!....luv your Videos and your thoughts analysis on the real issues......keep sharing and all blessings for you and your loved ones !!!

  • Technology is a major agent of change. Just look at the Internet for instance.

  • I personally feel that our inner thoughts shape what is happening around us. Think about when athletes vision themselves scoring and how its going to happen, and then they go out and do it. On the other hand, some people don't have the drive to change their emotions and think positive when negative things are going on around them. So in turn, they can't function right if everything around them is messed up. So in my opinion Socionomics is a two sided coin. Depending on how you "flip it"

  • @Deezle1313 So you're an idealist. :)

  • @DEMCAD Well.... Yea. I feel like we all have the power to change our surroundings to a certain extent. But ideally, the elites have much more influence on society than the average person

  • Happiness and mood has a set point that is based on genetics. So I think that it's probably based more on propaganda and the reality of the situation. But who knows it's complicated.

  • Reg- II do the same thing with basketball. I chase around the ball to lose some weight..

  • it's all a big network of correlativity

it's a giant system of correlations

chicken vs egg thought is too linear

  • I wrote a review about DEMCAD on my website at InterestingBananas(dot)com

  • Why does it need to be one or the other? Why not a mixture of both?

Its like the nature OR nurture argument, its not one or the other, its both together.

Thank you, i appreciate your videos :)

    In Lak'ech

  • I've noticed that as the economy get worse, rudeness has become more acceptable.

  • @demcad check out my carbonated chocolate milk experiment video!!!!

  • dang the whole time Ive been pronouncing it : So Ci oh nom icks....Im such an idiot

  • sounds kinda new agey to me...i think music reflects the times not effect them...oh and i think the drug culture may something to do with draft(death cards)and the first visual war...food for thought though

  • The band "The cure" has song for almost every mood. Their music definitely lends itself to introspection. Their music is kinda timeless and escapist b/c it can always be in the now. It is not political which can be associated with a certain era. Hey demcad you played a cure tune one night on your sunday night show. what are your favorite cure tunes demcad? by the wazy, they have alot of melancholic tunes.

  • @raysalsa1 That's true, a lot of the music artists of the 80s and 90s were versatile.

  • I always loved this idea..It is supported by science and the earths magnetic field. Learned that on an episode of NOVA. I been through a lot but I just cant help but always be the positive one? Anyway excellent video Sir Im subscribing. Thanks for making it

  • Very interesting point of view. I had to watch it a few times for it to sink in

  • I am a new subscriber to your page and I just wanted to thank you for all your videos! You are a great critical thinker and I appreciate you for voicing your opinions and encouraging conversations about so many important issues.

  • @AfroLat1no I'm glad that you're enjoying it. Thank you.

  • put some more arch on that J

  • I note in your shooting that as you score more and more baskets, so your effort goes down; i.e: you put in as little energy as you can to maximise your returns - But! You don't know when you hit the minimum, so that you have to 'restart' all the time. So, learning curve followed by good(or correct) effort followed by lessening of effort followed by small failures(frustrations) followed by giving up followed by a 'restart' and the big effort needed to restart is probably a feature of your life?

  • @DEMCAD

I heard that in the New Hampshire Primaries, Ron Paul received enough write in votes by Democrats to garner him 18% of the Democratic Vote. Can you verify this rumor for me?

I would be ROFLMAO if this turns out to be true, because he came in 2nd in both party's primaries.

  • Does Social Mood Change Social Behavior? -_-

I bet you can correlate the color of Cyndi Lauper’s hair to a Tally Stick. :o)

The first time she change the color of her hair was such a huge deal…! (lol)

People lost millions in the stock market.

  • Square your body up and quit falling backwards on your shot

  • But I think most mainstream music just makes people stupid.

  • I don't think up beat music will help the economy at all. If I listen to Lil Wayne and his shitty music it's not going to make my commodities raise in price. It's not going to convince the fed to stop printing more money. Some of the best artists are unheard, that's because they speak about real topics. Unlike the poppy ignorant stuff you hear on the radio today. Music is one of the best medicines out there no doubt, It releases dopamine into the brain which is why music calms you.

  • Music can be a coping mechanism. You can listen to happy music to cheer you up. Sort of like the nazis partying when the russians invaded Berlin.

  • I tried to play basketball last year and I spent 3 days in bed. Messed up my knee and back. I'll stick to walking with my cane...LOL...Not real funny tho....

  • @bkr360 Sorry to hear that.

  • Nice jumpshot dude.

  • I'm just glad you moved on from trying to defend the most violent place on the planet

  • The environment causes cognition which causes behaviour, but behaviour can also change the environment, which leads to positive or negative feedback loops. However some ideas cannot change the real world (e.g. wishing for a Ferrari does not make one appear) and the physical world can force changes we do not want (e.g. wishing to live forever will not stop my body from physically aging).

For this reason, the physical world shapes ideas more than ideas shape the physical world.

  • You shoot to the side like Derek Fisher.

  • @Snowgoon901 I wish I could shoot as well as Derek Fisher. lol

  • The way you play basketball makes me smile, cool guy.

  • Thoughts become things.

  • @SilverLadyBug999 Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

  • @SilverLadyBug999 I have to keep reminding myself of that. "Thoughts Become Things"

  • DEMCAD work on that jump shot my man lol

  • Sent you a video reply. Hope you approve.

  • @TheRumpledOne I did. Thanks for the response.

  • @DEMCAD it looks like your ball is warbled, lol. great vid though reg, bobby

  • Thirteen main banking groups control the entire world... mood can change certain things but people need to wake up.

  • "We have a large african american with a gun playing basketball all by himself, Please go check out the situation and taze him if you can. Over."

  • Real world issues affect how ppl think. Major events can reshape an individuals perception of the world. Someone who survives a bad car crash may in some cases become afraid of cars. People that survive a disaster may have thier sense of security altered and go overboard preparing for the next event. so on and so forth. so real events alter the way ppl think.

  • Are you a positive, neutral or negative personality? Being positive and happy from within changes everything. It leads to a much improved social mood. Does this affect in any way the corporate mood?

  • the 2 greatest influences on the stockmarket are Fear and Greed. I fear I will loss money so I pull out or I will make a major score so I go into the market. The percieved strength of the market can cause a fear/greed response. If fears of a weak ecomomy surface, ppl respond as if they will loss money and pull money out and weaken the market. so ideas can affect the real world.

  • in 2000 it was 'brain dead' music.. it had no creativity...actually after the late 80s .. music dropped in its joy. the ninetys brought the grunge and thug schene..and it went down hill from there... 40, 50, 60, and even the 70s music was about being happy sad in love,(anbd partying with your friends) ect.. after the 80s.. it became about materialism and killing and hoes and bitches.. i was there i saw must of it..

  • @Solon6633 pretty much, got to look real hard for new good music now days.

  • Significant environmental change most effective in changing mood. Human senses directly respond to environment, affecting cognition and mood. Mood may be described as conscious (or subconscious) coping mechanism. Example, cold outside, desire to listen to winter-time music, drink hot chocolate. Mood change can be beneficial depending on degree and duration of external events. Example, long cold periods initiate desire for warmer weather. To cope, build warmer homes or migrate.

  • This seams like a case of looking for meaning in a correlation. Correlation is not causation. Although it is an interesting correlation. :)

  • That ball is like way to pumped up lool

  • You sure that you're not a white dude DemCad?! Your ball skillz suck! :-) Peace

  • I hate double rims...like shooting into a tuna can lol

  • Maybe it's like a snake eating its own tail: poor economy causes a bad social mood which in turn worsens the social mood. Vicious cycle. I honestly believe that events, society's reaction to people, long-term experiences, and maybe genetics effect mood. This "social mood" argument sounds more like some Dr. Phil type stuff.

  • Something like 1/3 of our economy anymore is more or less part of the finance industry, which means speculation, gambling, losses. That has to create an incredible quarterly strain on an economy, greatly compromising prosperity. I’m not against prosperity even though I’m basically a “Christian socialist”—I just think it ought to be shared more evenly w/ the workers; that, I oppose usury/fractional reserve. “Art” generally reflects this. Only on the rarest occasions does art birth an event.

  • Reg, you are much better shooter from the foul line!

  • @JP5466 lol. I know.

  • The 90's alternative was musical foresight performed by Genxers.

From the mouths of babes proverbially.

The US should never have seen the 90's debt based, boomer borrowing, service economy, boom.

The dollar printing will continue as it has, until the USS Titannic goes down.

There are many ways to continue making income even after the ship goes down. As long as you are not NDAA arrested for being non-dependent.

  • socialnomics was a theory born out of the idea that wallstreet speculators drive economic forces of the entire nation...more or less. Having a negative outlook is a result of the evidence and experience you have before you. Socialnomics sounds like a convenient scapegoat for a failing government to blame the people.

  • I like the basketball subtheme. Lends an air of placidity to the discussion, and reminds us that we all need to be using this time to get in shape. Fewer air balls next time, though. :) Good vid.

  • another great vid, If you think any harder your head will explodePS; good job

  • Music in the 1930's was a lot of gospel spirituals, "Big Band" dance music, and music from popular films and Broadway productions ("escapist media"), and the beginnings of "classic" jazz.

  • music industry just want to make money, so the fallow the mood of people.

  • change affect mood. if you get up all happy and go to work but when you get there you are told that you are fire your mood will change.

  • reggie you don't want none on the court lol

  • Brilliant Hugh?

  • only on people that are dependent on the system of things. when people do not depend on the system and have some form of self independes and are aware that thing change; there behavior is more calm and positive. i live in a community on a 3 world when a hurracane hit and a day after people were helping each other and not wating on the gov. they knew that the system was not going to be there.

  • It's all a VERY sophisticated methodological set of refutability theories. Philosophical Theorist's say run with the pack or stay home. LOL!

  • Bacon changes your social behavior to a Neanderthal.

  • Chemtrails change my mood everytime I see them clouding up a beautiful blue sky.

  • Globalist Banksters create the events and the mood. All is manipulated from the top. The final formal consolidation is happening now--the NWO is here. Check out Agenda 21 and see what kind of mood that puts you in.

  • but the ideas of fears implanted in this colectible mind is the confutions to break off for solutions

  • ideas change the fisical world, same as minds, yes we can change this evil ideas,we will change to something more sustentable. this presents ideas are not longer on the mayories mind ideas. the facts of treats, control, slavement, genecide, implanted in this present ideas are off the reason in a collectible mind

  • It might be the camera angle but the rims look 15 ft high.

  • Couldn't it be both? In other words, mood could affect change, and change could affect mood. It's a dynamic relationship. Moods are primed by cultural factors and vary amongst communities (thus, you have different genres of music), and there are cultural authorities within our country who, by voicing their own opinion, can replicate their own social mood in others (high profile investors). So there's an underlying power dynamic in how social mood is determined as well.

  • Cause and effect, effect and cause doesn't exist anywhere in the universe. The money men control the music industry so they dictate what music is popular through mass brainwashing programmes, sure homegrown music could be used as a indicator of social mood but a quick look at the poverty levels round about you would be almost 100% i'd gambit and therefor a better indicator.

  • thats easy, it's both. once one occurs the other follows. ideas/environment can change at any time for many reasons, which will undoubtedly effect ones environment/ideas. its why we evolve and it's how we adapt in life.(unfortunately it might lead to our downfall as well) but It's never one or the other.

  • DEMCAD, About the School comment, You should go back school and take out as much in student loans as possible. One because they can not repossess the knowledge you gain from school, next an additional 5K per semester is an awful lot of prepping cash. You could also go online completely not even needing to leave home. Seriously look into it.

  • weather can be a big daily mood changer, but your overall economic where-with-all, job/money/bills/debt is always an over-riding factor.

Mood music in stores (elevators) has been used by retailers for years.

Socialnomics? Some truth but not the whole.

NEED is the driving force behind change... always. (need as in what it takes to survive, and at what level or comfort zone) Greed plays in as well, but that is really a 'need' like obsession.

  • Are you going to go back to school to get your masters degree? you would be a good college professor.

  • @Trappermark99 I don't have any plans to go back to school.

  • @Trappermark99 There is a very big difference between "education" and "being schooled". Most of todays college kids are being schooled, not educated.

  • @JP5466 I call them regurgitation experts. ;)

  • @JP5466 if they are not being educated, then what are they being schooled in?

  • @Trappermark99 Ever heard of indoctrination? It's very close to brainwashing.

  • As crazy as it sounds, this is a proven theory.
