i built one when i was twelve and its equivalent to a pro one (i built a quarter pipe) there's no bump at the transition use 1/4 plywood for the top layer to do that it's like 30$ a sheet but worth it

a good size is 3 feet tall

it costs around 600$ if you get pressure treated wood for outside and it'll take you an enite box of 500 screws but it a fun ramp
