Would you prefer the Clinique Airbrush Concealer/Corrector over the Bobbi Brown Corrector? Im currently using Bobbi Brown, love it but its rather clumpy
Hi Lisa, I really love your videos and I wanted your advice for my wedding makeup. Im an Indian bride getting married in India. I have a very oily skin and it comes through even in English winter. I would really appreciate if you can suggest any products that would make it stay longer esp. under the eye and for an even finish.
@Pinkbillie same. My eyes are quite small so I just dab a tiny bit in a 'C' every time and then I go over the brown with the medium shade. I find that helps!
I love the colors you use for the eyes but yours are a beautiful brown and mine are blue (though I also have dark hair)...will those colors looks as well on me?
Hi Lisa! i love ur videos! i learn so much from you :) what is really great that u give us a lot of wearable, day looks without all that glitter and neon shades!
i wanted to ask you: i have cool undertones (mid- light brown hair and brown eyes). so should i use make up with cool undertones or warm undertones??
Just wondering - where on earth can I get a hold of the Suqqu products?! I've been looking for an online shop that sells them around here and couldn't find one...
My best friend was just married this past January, and she NEVER wears makeup (literally not a stitch of makeup on a day-to-day basis). She was so nervous about getting hers done on the big day, but the makeup artist we chose, based on rave reviews from other brides, did a look just like this, and she was STUNNING. Honestly this look is gorgeous, thank you for sharing Lisa, as always! x
@anchyli I'd be tempted to do a neutrally toned, classic make-up and add a red lip...if that suits your personality and style of course...could be fabulous! X
@lisaeldridgedotcom I got the same idea watching your "intro bride" video! I absolutely looove the red lip, but sometimes I am not sure if it suits me, cause I got rather thin lips. BUT then I've watched a "10yearsyoungervideo" on yt, with you doing this look on several women of different ages and they all look fabulous, even the older ones with thin lips. so now, both me and my mom are going to wear it! thank you so much for taking time to reply and for making your always very helpful videos :)
@anchyli my cousin recently got married and with her red dress she chose a very light palette for her face, peachy lips and gorgeous light shade of green (which went with some green accents in her dress). I hate it when ppl wear red or dark bronze eye shadow and red blush and red lips. Thankfully the bridal makeup in pakistan is a lot more modern now and brides usually look pretty and not horrifying like they used to! give me hope for my wedding :p
@baiboo well, going red all over your face sounds pretty scary :D I'll try your cousin's look too, haven't really decided yet. also, I'm not the bride ;) good luck with your wedding :)

Hi lisa, i'm hooked on your tutorials. I am getting married in 2 weeks time, i'm doing my own bridal makeup and have been swotting up on your video's. I have bought lots of new products on your recommendation and OMG what a difference! I have fair skin, blonde hair and green eyes and am planning a smokey mauve/purple eye to bring out my eyes and tie in with my wedding theme of lilac, navy and silver. I just wanted to say thank you soooo much, i would have been lost without your help. Julie x
To be perfectly honest, this tutorial doesn't really provide the details of the application process because they are always cut off. Only the products used are shown, but as we all know, it's the application, where it is placed that makes the difference. U can buy the most expensive product but if u don't know how to place it then it's useless. Having said that, I love Lisa's tutorials for the most part because if u really listen to what she's saying, u start to understand the concept of makeup.
is that swirling motion with the powder good? I've heard you should pad it one with the brush, otherwise you will ruin the foundation and the concealer. I'm always scared to mess it up...
I want to be able to wear a light eyeliner to open my eyes but through age the whites of my eyes are a bit yellow therefore the liner emphazises this flaw of mine. What other liners do you suggest? Thank you.
@lisaeldridgedotcom i noticed u didnt do the contour.. so we dont need to contouring on wedding? i hv round face.. but i love this look. it looks clean, sweet n natural..
Please Lisa! Can you recommend to me a good foundation for older skin (mid-50's) that's long-wear but has that dewiness that makes you look young? Or would the light reflection be too much of photos? Again this is for a mother of the bride look. Thanks again! I think you are so wonderfully talented and sweet to post all your videos to help everyone =) Much love!
@JusBrowsin100 you could try Lift and Luminate by No7 or Lift Lumiere by Chanel. Both have enough reflection to give the skin dewiness and radiance but look good in photos x
Well, what always trubles me about a make up look-not only on weddings- is
1.whether we should use one tone -warm or cold- on eyes, cheeks, lips or not.
2.If i use pink-colour blusher then i should use a pink-based lipstick or a peachy would be nicer?
I have been confused because sometimes we hear that if we want to make our eyes to stand out then we can contrast the tones, but on the other hand i dont know if not matching the tones just makes it a little fuzzy..What do you suggest?
@lilyspeaker I personally prefer make-up when the cheeks and lips have a base tone that ties them together. I find that when the cheeks and lips are miles apart (eg blue pink lips and orangey brown blush for example) all the chic ness and polish is compromised. It doesnt have to be completely matchy matchy but at the same time I dont believe they should clash dramatically x
So you are a beautiful, talented woman with the most soothing voice who also is a wonderful make-up artist, a phenomenal, eloquent teacher, a caring, creative and sharing person who also seems so very genuine and who also loves cats according to one of your lastest comments? I don't think I could adore you more! :) Thank you for another amazing video!
great look! i want to ask if you can also PLZ PLZ do an indian bridal makeup look in your series of bridal looks? as you must know the makeup in an indian wedding is much more and different from these neutral/light looks

This video made me ponder whether make up artists do their own makeup for their wedding day, or still get someone else to do it. Lisa, did you do your own makeup for your wedding day?
Hello dear Lisa, as usual anther useful lovely video, and the best thing I love about you is no matter how busy Lady you are but you always try your best to answer and reply to our question that's how make you more special than our other subscription. thanks again xx
LOVE this look! But may ask why you chose a small brush to apply the loose/translucent powder? I have the regular largish powder brushes, can I use those instead? Thanks so much for this series (and all your videos), I learn so much from every video of yours!
@merylynmagic I always use small powder brushes or larger ones that are very tapered into a kind of point because I like to be able to control where the powder goes. The huge splayed brushes put powder in your brows, lashes and other parts of the face you may not need it. I think better to control it x
Hi lovely Lisa, thanks so much for all the videos. My favourite foundation is Chanel Pro Lumiere and wanted to use this at my wedding. However I find it comes off around the cheeks when I put powder blush on - even if use a primer and loose powder. Do you have any tips - would it be better to use a cream blush - is the Illamasqua cream blush worth all the hype. Thanks so much
@kbabette1 I havent tried the illamasqua one but I tried the top shop one and its very good. What I would suggest is...apply your foundation then apply a good cream blush in a thin layer on top. After concealing set everything with a fine layer of powder and then once you have finish your make-up apply a dusting of powder blush over the top. Lots of thin layers help make-up last so this technique of multi layering works well. x
this is just beautiful and you make it look so easy. i was wondering if you still had your shellac nails and how they're wearing for you. thanks a lot.
@AlicelnWonderIand its my British Shorthair Kitten, Betty. She's a big make-up fan and hangs out in my studio a lot. Once she jumped up on the table when i was filming but I edited it out...maybe I'll leave it in next time she jumps up x
Well Im 15 so Im not getting married but I do have prom soon (14th) so thank you for these, Im quite worried about my skin on photographs (My friends know me to almost run from cameras lol) so this is all great advice and good timing :D
Lisa, I know I've said it before, but let me say it again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I know that as a MUA just starting my career, I learn so much from your videos that can only be learned from other working artists. Your instruction is irreplaceable.
Everything seems to be so easy to do, but I always fail at doing a natural makeup. It seems like I apply thin layers of pretty natural, not opaque colors, but afterwards it looks like I've put all of my makeup bag on my face..(

Thanks so much
kbabette1 1 year ago
@kbabette1 I havent tried the illamasqua one but I tried the top shop one and its very good. What I would suggest is...apply your foundation then apply a good cream blush in a thin layer on top. After concealing set everything with a fine layer of powder and then once you have finish your make-up apply a dusting of powder blush over the top. Lots of thin layers help make-up last so this technique of multi layering works well. x

@AlicelnWonderIand its my British Shorthair Kitten, Betty. She's a big make-up fan and hangs out in my studio a lot. Once she jumped up on the table when i was filming but I edited it out...maybe I'll leave it in next time she jumps up x

your videos are so beautiful and helpful. I was wondering - is there a reason why you skip the bronzer/contour in bridal makeup?

Lisa, I know I've said it before, but let me say it again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I know that as a MUA just starting my career, I learn so much from your videos that can only be learned from other working artists. Your instruction is irreplaceable.

Everything seems to be so easy to do, but I always fail at doing a natural makeup. It seems like I apply thin layers of pretty natural, not opaque colors, but afterwards it looks like I've put all of my makeup bag on my face..(
