  • when was this? (wot year)

  • 2006; it was a Radio 6 event called 'Pretty Ancient' to celebrate the first punk festival at the 100 Club in 1976

    Cheers

  • One of my all time favourite bands, never had the chance to see them, been a fan since 1977. Hey!

  • bloater999 - the 'Ant' in question was Marco Pirroni

  • The fact that is so awful makes it so utterly compelling.

The sound reminds me of so many punk gigs I went to....

The video just needs a raucous audience super-imposing on it and it would be complete!

    GREAT DAYS!!!

  • utter shit

  • But not as bad as Kansas eh?!

  • 1977 Punk Rules!!!!

  • I remember catching them at Morecambe in 2005 when they 1st reformed and was very very impressed with them.

  • I was there too - excellent, brilliant fun!

  • Bit of a lacklustre performance of this great song.

  • Yeah I've heard them play it a lot better, but it was a funny gig organised by BBC 6 with loads of press pointing their cameras on them as part of the 30 years of punk celebrations - still great mind you!

  • I loved this song. Rodney Bingenheimer's "Rodney On The Rocks" radio show on KROQ in LA always opened with a live version this song around 79/80.

  • Great!

  • Just great to see them again. Still as camp as ever!

    Brilliant

  • Who else preformed that night.

  • Sorry can't remember but it was a young new band who were pretty good, and then it was followed by Punk Karoake which included Spizz and others taking the mic

  • Thanks. Is this the same 100 Club from the '70's?. Here in New York the original CBGB's stayed open at the same locale until late last year(Patti Smith last preformence)

  • Sorry I keep trying to respond but youtube doesn't register... here I go again.. Yep it's the same London club where the first Punk Festival took place with the Pistols and an early Souixsie & the Banshees featuring Sid Vicious on drums and an 'Ant' on guitar.

Worth a visit if you're ever in town!

    Cheers

    Alan

  • old pricks

  • Piss off lewparkietu, if you don't like it don't visit

  • Wonder when they'll be playin' Bristol again? . love to go and see 'em!!
