@intheTea04 Yes , there is a volume control which goes from just audible to nice and loud. If you plug headphones in, it turns off the speakers for silent late night fun.
good piano. bad pianist. I bought it about 2 years ago and love it. Of course it feels nothing like an accoustic piano, but I use it for practice, with the headphones i get an awesome filtered, studio-like sound and I can play all night. Plus the recording quality is really great, on a cd it sounds like a steinway
@MrWilliewhite where do you live and how much did you pay for your Roland? I'm in Hawaii where I'm at the mercy of a single distributorship. I'll have one drop-shipped if the dealer here is ripping me off.
@dumnuts1 Oops my mistake, I bought HP 207, not 307. Sorry I take back my comment. But for info I live in Belgium, and I payed 2700€ (approximatley 3600 USD), which is the standard price for belgium, france, germany UK, 2 years ago.
In the US it is now selling at around 3000 USD. So I think you can count at least 3500-4000 USD for HP 307 in the US.
@SirBlackwolf7 It's called 'In Dreams', and is one of the tracks in the soundtrack of the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It was composed by Howard Shore.

Excellent playing! It seems the only way to get a sound even remotely comparable to a true grand is to go for top quality digitals like this one. Time to start saving up and selling organs...
my god i want one, i would love a real one but i would never get it in my bedroom, this how ever i could... might have to make do with this, its the best sounding digital i have heard, hope it plays nice
Roland HP 307, Yamaha CLP 380 and the Kawai ca93 are pretty much tops for this style of digital piano and all excellent - best to try them all in store . Also look at the YAMAHA CVP 509 model for a fully featured beast. It has built in learning tools and accompaniments, digital score etc which would be an advantage to a beginner. It has more features than you will ever use. If you just want piano though best of bests is probably the yamaha N3
@leparditas if you want a digital piano a roland v-piano or something like in this video or if you want a grand or master standup then choose steinway. i own the roland and have played a steinway both are amazing.
I have one of roland's paino's at my home. Its like a keyboard and a piano. its got diffrent tybes of buttons for e.g. Diffrent tones, recorde songs and even play songs that it already has.
This piano costs the same as a refurbished Yamaha U1, needless to say I'd prefer the real thing. I guess this has it's place though, for uploading to the web and recording stuff. The U1 is the real thing though. Still, I played one of these in a store recently and the digital engine sounds as realistic as you'd ever get from a non-acoustic I'd presume.
@macflyfilm : I think most pianist would go for the real thing, but with digital, I suppose you'd get more than one piano in the device for that competitive cost. Also it would work better across digital platforms, not to mention, no need for tuning. So I guess while an original would be very desirable, this would have its place with many.
Have a fantom x6 now. im tired of all the tweaking and shitty sounds. this is what i'd love!!!!!!! simplicity instead of the overwhelming bs that comes with synths.
@Powerslider I know, thats why I'm buying HP307 this Monday . I'm very lucky that I can. I have The Fantom X8 and I would not trade it for anything the keyboard is my best friend. Thank you Roland!!
Sounds preety well. I like the pedal design and the hard soft tweeking. Roland HP 4ever.

I'd buy one tonight if I had the time to play it.
What's wrong with me -- money to burn and no time to enjoy it.
I've been looking for a while, though, and this is the best yet.
Wonder what will be out in another year of procrastination?
