@vickiormindyb well, I never check about wild cats family, but I think leopard and tiger are almost same in characteristic. I've heard that leopard is as wild as female lion, so I guess, just guess that its weight is almost the same with tiger. Not to mention, all of them are wild cats.
She made a big mistake saying it was a tiger, since the people arriving would assume we're dealing w/ a 300 to 500 pound animal. As opposed to a 75 to, at most, 150 pound animal.
This is why you check and recheck. Poor lady though. I agree with the comment about zoos being too small. Lack of funding is to blame for that. I am not against zoos due to the fact that species survival plans are run through them and that makes it possible for animals that would not otherwise be alive.
Wow, that's why I never go close to this animals even if people or someone tells that they are friendly - but you NEVER know what's gonna happend. She is lucky to even damn survive that attack, it could deff. been worse.
I found out I love animals after the time I went hunting and failed to shoot the deer I was supposed to kill.
My brother was disgusted with me, but I couldn't do it.
I might have been able to before it dipped its head and started drinking some water. Something came over me when I saw that, and I just couldn't do it.
The deer got away b/c of me, but I'm glad I wasn't responsible for its death.
OMG, I Remember One Time I took my 4-year-old son named Tyler and My Best Friend Named Sara and she had her 5-year-old son named Joey to the zoo. and the boys loved the tigers. and Tyler was scared that one of the tigers might try to jump up and eat him. but i told him they can't do that. the wall is too high for them to reach. so we had fun and the boys each got a stuffed tiger animal.
i never agreed with zoos. i don't even like the word. sanctuaries, aquarium, are more of what I support because the animals are there after being rescued. and when that is not the case, i believe 'zoos' should have a large vast area and not a small confined space. i'm not hostile. i just don't agree with it. no argument is intended
@animeflowergurl You know, I sorta agree with you, but you also have to believe that SOME of those animals got protected by entering the Zoo. Above all I don't think it is right. But there is some purpose.
The gun ,vet and emergency personnel were on their way. Tranquilizers class 1 drugs must be stored in hospital safe. The leopard would have killed her if I waited. she didn't have minutes just seconds. I chose not to wait on gun I acted, The whole thing was toned down for TV living it was a whole different expierence.

I mean for the re-enactment, the leopard probably did not realy attack her, and those bruises and cuts we see on her could be just clever make-up work to make us think it was the leopard.
In other words, they left the actual attack out! Boo!
Judy should have not assumed that the leopard was out of it's cage at the time she was going into the cage.
She should have looked to see if the leopard was there in it's cage before going in.
I am not sure if she checked to see if the leopard was in it's cage or not, but she probably overlooked a proper precaution which almost cost her her life.

I think that leopard was kind of cute, I'm animal lover. My family name is Leo, so I'm ended up being called 'lion' or something by my friends.

@mangoliouskiwi I agree. Zoos are protecting endangered species, but I don't like the idea of keeping them in small cages.

We treated a man who got bitten by an adult pit bull last week.
It was a really bad bite. The guy's forearm looked like it had been through a blender.

We were walking around the zoo one day and I saw a leopard, then some tigers.
I was joking around and asked my friend, "Do you think those big kitties would like me since I love cats so much?"
My friend replied, "They'd like you as a snack."
I thought that was hilarious.
I couldn't picture them having me as a snack, but I can now.

What we don't see is the leopard actualy attack her which is what I wish we saw.
All we see is the leopard run up to her and jump her from behind.
Then it cuts to the other worker, we hear her scream, and then it cuts back to her lying beside the leopard with her face turned away from us.

This is pretty gruesome! Was the leopard actually on top of Judy and repetedly biting her? Or, did he only bite her once?

Something similar 2 this happened to my dad. He used to work at a zoo as the animal doctor, So this reminds me of that ^^
