TCM - William Friedkin on working with Linda Blair

William Friedkin is one of the most compelling speakers I've heard. I agree, the movie gods were in their favour on The Exorcist. I like the extended version. In the book there was a small sub plot of the servants and their drug-addicted daughter. It would have been useful to show how fear can manifest itself in different ways; doubt, drug addiction, alcoholism etc. Everyone who loves the movie should read the book...it's a classic in its own right.

The Exorcist is, to this day, my all-time favorite horror movie. With as many horror flicks as I've seen, that's saying a lot. Linda took on an enormous role at a very young age, and did a fantastic job. I also likes that she's an advocate for animals. Got to respect that...

Actually? Linda had done tv commercials and she did one

movie"The Sporting Club"in 1968 and she almost

appeared in a tv drama..but the tv drama never

aired.
