The wonderful CART medical team could have done nothing. Greg was effectively dead on impact, the most appalling single-car accident in the past 25 years. Similarly awful to poor Gonzalo Rodriguez' accident at Laguna Seca a month earlier - both accidents look (and chillingly in Gonzo's case, sound) 100% fatal, there's no Dale Earnhardt grey area in terms of appearance (with the greatest of respect).
