Today marks the 10th anniversary of George Harrison's death, you will be missed. At least you're with God now. Rest in peace my sweet loved, we love you all.
lips that once were mine.... tender eyes that shine.... they will light my lonely way tonight .... i'll see you in my dreams. Goodnight, George. Thanks for everything.
My best friend Mark died last year. We grew up listening to The Beatles together. I think of him fondly but sadly listening to Joe Brown singing this beautifully simple but profound song.
This really is so very lovely. What a sweet singing voice to one of the songs George loved so. I too wish George had been allowed to sing this at the end of the Anthology. Thank you for posting this.
Happy Birthday George, today, your Birthday, the 25th was always a holy day in the 60's and my friends and I used to walk down to the telephone box in our lunch hour from school and press button A or B and get through to the Beatles Fan Club and hope to god that you were all there....but you never were !!!!!
I heard this song on the radio this morning, hadnt heard it before, my Mum passed away on Thursday. I'm going to have this at her funeral. I'm so happy to have heard it.
Dear FRIENDS, I am sick of posting. When is someone going to ACKNOWLEDGE the BRITS who have earned so much for our country and just to say WELL done Joe Brown and your music. This song was played at my sisters cremation. The VOICE touched all who were there to pay their respect.
i love this song i think those words in my head everyday when i think about my lady she passed away on november 15 now all i get is to see her in my dreams
@GeorgeHarrisonLuver actually :28 & :29 "Soon my eye's will close" I can hear someone whispering it at the same time J.B. says it.If you use a head set you can definetly hear it.
Yeah, this one tears me up every time. A sweet song for a sweet guy. Thank Joe Brown for doing such a touching tribute to your friend ans a perfect ending for his concert.
Of all the Beatles I believe George had the BEST solo career. I could relate to his songs more. "All Things Must Pass" is still one of the best albums I've ever heard. George had wonderful spiritual sound to his songs. God bless you, George. Thank you for all the wonderful songs you've given to the world.
Mmmm...I am not agree. Actually John had the BEST solo career. He became an ICON. George had a different way, more spiritual, but the songs he did are nothing compared to the songs of mr. Lennon.
The light went out in our hearts when both John and George suddenly left us. This is a most wonderful tribute you left in your little way to George. R.I.P John and George we will always love you!

Sorry to have to break it, to a lot of you but... George Harrison did not write this song, not to take away from him, at all. A lot of people think he wrote it but the original composer is named Isham Jones. Tough break nyugga...
@jiffinbigles Everyone who knows anything about George Harrison knows he liked this song as a boy, and liked George Formby, that is what the last Beatle series intro was about, [animated young lads watching a man on stage playing banjo]. Oh I love that song. I have it by 101 Strings Orchestra. I have 4 of their albums. I was in 2 or 3 talent shows in Cuba and I couldn't resist the opportunity to sing in the talent shows or Karaoke. In Cuba I'd used the 101 Strings instrumental music as accompaniment when I sang "The Shadow of Your Smile" (fell in love with that one by Johnny Mathis).
