  • As a Mexican woman I gotta tell you that your are doing a great job! Very glad that you enjoy our food! Keep going!

  • Your husband is very very lucky guy

  • I love ur videos! I am mexican and am not married to one! But even my family has tasted some of ur great reciepes (love the pozole recipe). great job, hope you keep making more! thanks!

  • Nice try, but you got too carried away with ingredients. You are missing achiote. Maybe your suegra should teach you how to cook real mexican food instead of the american version.

  • just got a rotisserie for xmas and have been looking for a recipe to make these soo this weekend i am so goin to try your recipe! oh been married to my mexican man for 12 always looking for ways to surprise him and i found your web site love the cake and flan recipe cant wait to try that one too :)

  • Did you put the tortillas in the microwave??? OMG

  • I love the recipe and I absolutely love your commentary at 2:28. The women in my family that cook have that SAME inflection in their voice when I tell them I cheat every now and then with store bought things when I don't have time to do them from scratch. It made me laugh. It's easy to doctor up anything from a can when you're on a time crunch :)

  • i'm mexican, and i luv ur videos!!!! ur r amazing girl!!!i live in Puebla and here we love that kind of tacos! thank u!

  • from a mexican guy living in Switzerland :

Thank you so much for this recipe. You have no idea how much I miss the tacos al pastor! and now I'll be able to prepare them. I'll let you know how it went.

    Cheers.

  • First off let me say thank you for all your efforts to teach us how to cook authentic Mexican food. Having said that may I make a suggestion? Instead of throwing the pineapple juice away, why not add it to the water in the baking dish? Just curious because I always try to add as much flavor as I can to anything I am cooking. Thanks for your time and I enjoy your videos immensely.

  • Okay I have to say you totally rock. I am also married to a mexican ( i am puertorican) and I have to say I look for recipes to make my man happy and this is totally going on my book. I will try this and congrats on learning all this. Thanks for these recipes.

  • just a taste of that recipe ..is worth a ticket from Norway to the States.....looks just perfect :)

  • I LOVE IT!!!!......

  • excellent and delicious recipe!!! Thank YOU

  • Single Mexican guy here, I Love your videos! They realy do help! I cook for myself and my sisters and We LOVE Mexican dishes!

  • All your ingredients even the Jumex juice is fine but Chipotle Chiles is not an adobo for pastor Chile paste. I believe Chipotles are over rated and people want to use this chile in adobo(Chipotle) way to much ! I liked chiles in adobo (chipotles) now i hate them cause everyone wants to use them in everything ! OMG... Anyways ... keep it up you are doing great ... Dont mind me I will watch all your videos and comment the good and the bad !

  • I wonder how i can get a wife like her....those tacos look so damn good

  • thats not how u really make it..haha

  • I haven't, admittedly, been on your site for awhile I am sorry to say. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed your cooking. You have embraced the Mexican culture through your cooking; it makes me proud that we are both "Anglo". I have cooked Mexican food for almost 40 years for my husband and children; not very good with fried chicken, coleslaw, etc. I am stuck in my rut and to watch you renews my interest in branching out again; trying more simple things- conchas, polvorones, bolillos! Thanks.

  • haha, i didnt finish watching it, i didnt expect to see a white person teaching how to make this ha. no offense

  • this would fool the mexican in your life!....that has got to be the best thing i heard all week!

  • @sweetooth87 yo i don't know what r u talking about.... but i made that comment to other person... don't take this personally let it go.. u r 24 lol grow up jk jk.. lmao

  • hello friend. the truth will not understand anything they do not speak English, but the video is quite understandable. I'd appreciate it published only the ingredients. thanks and congratulations are very good at this.

    I also love the kitchen

  • Outstanding - I LOVE tacos al pastor - and will have to try some of your techniques. But what's up with the carrot?? Of course, 'De gustibus non est disputandum...' ;-) Thanks again...

  • gringos makes tacos too complicated, you just need a fresh made tortilla, fresh vegetables like onion and guacamole and then some carne asada, thats it.

  • @ProviderMR THATS BORING! says my mexican taste buds

  • you rock! I seriously enjoy you're videos :)

  • my dream girl the one that knows how to cook and please you

  • who the heck eats beans and rice with tacos?? lol.. either way good job..

  • @sophiahb chipotle and Qdoba ..whoever ;D

  • @sophiahb everyone does, taco shops do it all the time!! its not a good balace of food for a diet...

  • looks awesome, I usually cook with no measurements, mostly by feel, but when I give somebody a recipe I always have it measured out... Love this recipe. Would love to get exact or round about measurements so I don't go overboard with ingredients ect, kudos to you, looks really tasty.. :)

  • Dang too bad that's not how you make them. The meat supposed to be bright red.

  • So nice how ur HB called the boy "chimuelo" now I know he's Mexican.. Great vid thanks..

  • youre amazing!

  • i'm also married to a mexican and i think this will make him happy--thanks!

  • LOL!!! 8:29-8:31 that was so funny lol.

  • omg!! "I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A TAQUERO" my boyfriend always says that!! soo funny! we buy the pastor already seasoned and just fry at home and we are always saying i wish i can make it from scratch! now i am ill let you know how it turns out!

  • She must have sold out sometime in her life to get that posh kitchen and house.

  • @canaan1967 meanie!

  • da mexican in your life must be very happy and feel special to have you to actually learn how to cook all these recipes for him!

  • We do a similar dish but cook the shoulder with the spices in a pot on top of the stove. You start with the sauce and water around the pork but cook until you have mostly pork. shreds very easily with two forks...

  • @srikrishnajay

omg.... who cares where there from there delicious and she knows how to cook!!!!...

  • but why do you care so much?.......

  • Mmmmmm,i am hungry! Yes,you got the right ingredient for tacos al pastor, but you missed chopped cabbage, and green hot sauce. Thanks for the recipe!

  • @lalindaparaguayita cabbage?I've never eat them like that.only with fish or shrimp taco's.

  • @suzy2daboosie Yes,in Mexico some "taqueros"add chopped cabbage on tacos,it taste good on my personal opinion.

  • wow, what a goddess the reason I say this is because my cousins married white women and their lives are purely hell, and for this one to learn how to cook mexican food for her husband, amazing

  • @Gus589 ...i agree good for her i think thats great...

  • Nunca me imajine aprender esta receta de una huerita, muchas gracias por esto que haces.

  • you can make awesome tacos without all that prep... i tried it on a lazy day Chile Guajillo rinsed and thrown dry into the blender (take seeds out if you want but don't need to) garlic to taste and some salt. cook it with the pork cubed and top with a salsa made of boiled jalapenos and salt (a bit of water for consistency). simple but good... really fast too! doin it the hard way tastes good too!

  • oh and of course you gotta top it with onion and cilantro... a squeeze of lime and chomp on a nice pickled jalapeno... so good.

  • At times your voice reminds me of Sandra Bullock.

Hey TRpicapica, thank you for the tips on how to make this taco...I look forward to learning from you much more.

    Ciao

one more thing i love girls who know how to cook and you are one of them love you

  • not to offend you but please dont call that tacos al pastor u need a verticle cooker but good recipe anyways very original

  • not true... tacos al pastor can be cookes as you say in trompo (vertical cooker) or de hoya (in the pot)

trompo is awesome but de hoya is a great substitute

  • Looks so good i always wanted to try this but never had a chance

  • Congratulations!! Your recipe is the closest to ours one. I born in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco and we are TAQUEROS from generations. My family owns taquerias in Guadalajara and Tijuana. My suggestion is that you also combine a little bit of ACHIOTE & PAPRICA before you marinate the meat to enhace the flavor. 'tel you what, that "JUMEX" it's a very good trick!!

  • You made my day! Thanks for sharing that with me.

  • hi ,I'm "mexican" from california and my cousin makes the best pastor tacos ever he has a secret which I cant tell here.

btw, why is being mexican such a big deal, its like are our own species or something. lol!

  • i was a bit skeptical in the begging of the video but you did a great job i just couldnt stop watching. keep the good work. i also want to start a cooking show on youtube

  • It always means more comng from a Mexican. If you start making videos tell me so I can tell everyone. I would love to support you. You're just a kid you have your whole life ahead of you. Make each day count. You have so much potential.

  • That looks good, I would have to try it with beef. You make it seem so easy, I would probably burn the kitchen. Leave for three hours, oops........ I would forget. :)

  • Beef would also be good. Maybe you should check what your home insurance covers before you make this. JAJAJAJ!

  • This made me VERY HUNGRY .....lol

    xx

  • Warning! Never watch youtube on an empty stomach. JAJAJAJA!

  • LOL - I know huh! OMG - you are funny

  • Brave cook, tough recipe.
