Cloud was being controlled by sephiroth when he attempted to strike aeris.

While it's not clear if aeris intended to die, some speculate that it may have been her plan, because in the end, she become part of the lifestream and helped save the planet from meteor

Seeing Yuffie's reaction to Aerith's death brings tears to my eyes for the first time in a about five years. I never had her in my party on the way to meet Aerith in the Forgotten City, it was usually Barret and Tifa. Aside from Cloud's (which was a gimmee) I think Yuffie's reaction (and maybe Tifa's rivals it) is the most touching out of all the characters in the game.

Aerith's death was for a greater good. Without her being killed by Jenova - who was being controlled by Sephiroth, Meteor would have surely destroyed Gaia, even if Minerva attempted to stop it. Holy did not do a thing to help, and instead, it inflicted more damage to the planet. And in the end, Zack, and the rest of the people of the lifestream aided the Lifestream and Aerith and her Cetra powers and stopped Meteor.

So really, is was relevent for Aerith to die for the story to progress.

i dont think any FFVII fan would disagree that her death was necessary, however you cant say holy was crap man... holy had saved the planet once before and the fact that it couldnt this time just showed that the poison of evil was alot stronger this time around. Yes the lifestream did come and save the planet but keep in mind the cost too (geostigma) and yes, the combined strength of aeris, zack and all others in the lifestream, helped save the planet.

In the Shinra Mansion there is a safe. You need combination to it. The combination can be found throughout the house. Hints to each number's location can be found the the left of the door when you enter the mansion on a sheet of paper on the floor. It has three visible options, in which has 3 set locations, but there is a fourth, but invisible option, which gives you the 1 number directly. After you get the combo, open the safe, and be prepared for a tough boss fight.

and u know after that the rest of game is a HELL GOOD game but from that particular point of Aerith's dead, that sort of sadness, melancholy dont leave you while you play the rest of the game... You really miss her and you feel like theres a gap for real
