I like this movie better because you actually get to hear and see alot of the transformers. Also there is even character development. In the live-action movies you barely get to see or hear some of the autobots talk and find out their names and no character development. It would be like in the 2nd movie they had all these new characters, then in the 3rd they were gone and u'd b like where are they, they were so awesome. Then you find out on wiki that they killed them off. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Can anyone else recite this movie verbatim like I can? I remember I used to watch this movie so much as a kid. It's shocking that I still remember every word, and exactly when the music cues up and it's been almost 30 years.

Now as an adult I find myself snickering as I over think things that I never even considers as a kid. Like why robots have mouths, and noses. How they can feel pain. How they can "die". Shouldn't you just be able to reboot them if they "die" or switch out a hard-drive?

@risingphoenix03 Advertising quota, plain and simple. This film was an advertising vehicle for the 1986 toyline, and many of the earlier characters were being phased out. Hasbro and the screenwriters of this movie werent thinking 20 years in advance. They were trying to strike while the iron was hot, and what mattered at that time was promoting the new concepts that where being introduced that summer. .

@iTzPoP I'm not absolutely sure why people don't like them but I believe many don't because of the difference in looks (neetrabs comment) And also all the sexual jokes throughout the movies.

But you have to remember that many grew up with these Transformers and like the original better than the newer.

I on the other hand live with the transformers from today (being only 14) and like the newer and older.

This is only what I THINK I'm not 100% sure. :)

@WEBKINZ434343 Hell yeah, I love them all, but especially Grimlock and Slag. Slag kicks some major ass in this movie, he's the first to get a solid hit on Devastator and then he burns a hole through Unicron's ass (LITERALLY his ass, lol) in part 8 (or 9 maybe?).

I like Sludge just cause he's funny sounding when he talks, and I want to like Swoop but he always seems to get his shit ruined :( he seems fragile.
