The original of this song features Brian WIlson with his best vocal performance. The haunting falsetto, especially as it fades away at the end is the finest piece of vocal work he ever did for the Beach Boys. Brian makes it sound like his heart is breaking. It would be impossible to do it better, but Jeffrey's version here is very, very good.
nice version and good to keep this song alive, it's really a forgotten BB track (was a "B" side back then) that was always a personal favorite. Great progression, haunting melody.
A gem from the multi-talented Jeff Foskett -- his contributions to The Beach Boys and of course Brian are many -- and he still wears the Carl Wilson button at every performance.
The 1st time I saw Jeff Foskett was right after he joined the BB's & when Carl returned to the group in September 3, 1982, Red Rocks amphitheatre, outside Denver, colo. His voice just amazed me, & it was then that I read that he was a perfect middle between Carl & Brian. All I can say is, Thank-you Jeff for being a class act, all these years. Your voice is a God-Given Gift, & you've made beautiful music with it for many, many years. GBY, Forever. Wolfsky9
I swear, when Brian is 103 someone is going to take the time to point out that he just can't sing the way he did at 24! He is just unique in that way, I guess???
Personally, I love Brian at 21, 25, 37, 48, 56, 68.....I will NEVER not love Brian Wilson!!! E V E R !
p.s. Thanks Jeffrey, you're tops! Wish I were you, you lucky ole son-of-a-gun!
Sounds as good as the orginal on the beach boys today lp! Is there anyone has him singing I Live For The Sun his cover from the Sunrays, He done a great job on that too! Thanks for posting
@dmullsr people didnt understand the dangers then and the ozone layer wasnt shot then terry melcher died of melanoma after surviving charles manson and motorcycles accidents
Indeed... a certain Brian Wilson circa mid-1960's. Presently, Jeff can nail this track better than Brian now... not to rag on BW I am a huge fan of his but sometimes the truth hurts..... his voice is nowhere near what it used to be
I agree. I recall seeing Brian live decades ago... first his voice was incredible, then it was awful..no in between. I have met both Brian and Jeff F... both relatively quiet humble guys. Good guys. Enjoy.
Jeff is great and I have heard him many times in person... BUT Matt Jardine is as talented - both should be in the band if there is EVER a BB reunion. Both could cover Carl's role as well as anyone can do.
Perhaps THE biggest Brian Wilson wannabe. Has made a entire career of it.

Es el mejor reemplazante de Brian Wilson en cuanto a estilo de canto.

I think this song is a credit to Dennis Wilson, whose drumming really pushed that song and made it rock underneath the lush harmonies.

Jeff has been a member of The beach Boys and Brian's right hand man on stage for years. A nice smooth version presented here, thumbs up.
