@thehappyapplecrew Uff... , I realy tried to help the people understand it. Some understand it with out help, some are... well not technically gifted (and many are noobs). But Im serious, heres my last deal: -if this comment get 50 tumbs up from people who are interessted in it and still dont get it after reading descriptions and may searching for other videos like this, I will make an animation video explaining everything, based on Littlebigplanet 2. OKAY!
hey, I really like your concept, could you provide instructions for it? it doensn't need to be the whole thing, just a part like 1 cylinder pair is good. I would like to put your concept into a working v8.
i habe built a few fast LPE's, but this concept gives me a lot of questions. i think i understand the concept, but how to built it and make it perfectly run, thats the hard part :)
i am amazed, i couldnt for my life think that you actually could run a pneumatic engine without using switches. this is life changing for me thanks alot man!
Lovely concept! Seems to run much cleaner than any with switches. Slightly miffed as to how it runs though - on a switched LPE, when the piston contracts, the air inside the cylinder is forced out the bottom inlet and the switch allows it to escape into the room. But with this switchless LPE, how does that work? Do you have an exhaust port somewhere? Is that what the tube on the bottom left is for?
@kryptication Basic is a two stroke engine. One tube is the inlet goes into the cylinder, one is the outlet goes out of the cylinder. Description: ... -outlet valve closes -inlet valve opens -air gets into the cylinder and push the piston > air cant escape into the exhaust, because outlet valve is closed! -piston is forced to move down -inlet valve closes > no more air gets into the cylinder! -outlet valve opens -piston can move back up and pushes the air thru outlet into the exhauste. ...
Gorgeous! Great sound :-) And great concept, of course. Good idea to connect the chambers this way. Did I mention that I love the sound of it? I wish I had a 6 bar compressor. Time to start saving, I guess :-)
I can hear the engine roar...

How do the valves work? Are they little pressure plates that squeeze the tube shut?

I need to try this out, seeing as I've ruined most of my switches trying to modify them

@SuweraGER
doesn't that mean you've had to modify the cylinders so that the inlet and outlet ports are both at the base of the cylinder?
It is an ingenious solution to overcoming the frictional losses associated with the switches.

please post a link with pictures of how the valve/switch less system works! this is amazing!

so it's basically just cutting off the air flow into a cylinder to get air into another one?
