@techuniverse1 The internals on both phones are very similar. Except the Photon is real 4G so the speeds will be much better. The question I'd ask myself if I were you would be what network you want. AT&T or Sprint.  The Atrix is a great phone but if you want real 4G then the Photon is your only option. Can you live with Sprint? Check coverage maps of both carriers in your area.

@severebrutalized I love this phone. I'm a stock Android kind of guy, but I actually like Gingerblur. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I would do if I were you would be to wait until the 19th and see what the Google & Samsung announcement is going to be. We know it's going to be the Nexus Prime or Galaxy Prime for Verizon. But there is an outside chance that an AT&T version is coming. If that's the case I would definitely recommend the Nexus Prime.

I was wondering if you were having problems with your haptic feedback? Ever since I updated my phone, my phone would randomly stop vibrating and would come back if I turned off the off and turned it back on. It didn't bug me in the beginning because it didn't happen often, however now it's happening constantly. Any suggestions?

@p1nkhaz3 That's strange. I haven't experienced that issue. If it continues being a problem for you, you might want to consider bringing it down to an AT&T store and having them reset it. A fresh install might fix the problem. Be prepared that it also might not.

@xJakex068 I've found it to be a bit quicker. When I first got the phone the fingerprint scanner worked perfectly, then it started to get progressively worse. Now with Gingerbread, I don't have any problems with it at all anymore.

And it should check to see if there is an update for your phone. When it finds an update, I reccomend you do it over WiFi.

what are some tips u recommend to charge the battery such as a app like battery doctor or something similar... im coming off the iphone4.. and on it ur able to see ur usage and every time u charge it.. the usage resets itself.. on the atrix i charged up the last couple of nights and and when i check the usage i notice that it still indicates like 18hrs of usage.. that threw me off.. i just want to maximize the battery life.. thanks

Fragmentation! Not like I have or will own a Motorola handset, but why isn't the same blur (or w/e you want to call it) as the Droid 3. They both have Gingerbread now. Things like this is why they fail in success. To many variations that have no meaning. If your going to skin something, why don't they just give it the same skin. More of a reason you'll never get the next update or you will wait almost a year.

The Droid 3's software is a newer updated version specifically for the Droid brand with some fancy animations added and a slightly different dock but they are otherwise the same. Both are running the same, newest version of android; animations and slight UI differences do not qualify as "fragmentation", sorry.

I think rooted users should just wait a while until a newer version of gingerbread is available. When you installed Gingerbread on your Atrix, were you rooted? And if so, did you have any issues?
