My Uncle mad a cassette for my father in the 1980's. I had to sleep in the living room as I had 5 sisters that got to share our two bedrooms. Luckily I slept next to the cassette/8 track solid state stereo that my father bought new when I was born and I would listen to Franz's music all the time. I almost cried when I found your uploads. I'm glad that I could make a video that leads to such beautiful responses. For the content itself we should thank to sublime Tyrolean nature that found such a cheerful expression in Franzl Lang's voice and interpretation. Quite a mouthful, i know, but it's Nature to thank to.

@peanutneeww The author of the photos is not very explicit in this regard. It seems that i can't post the link to his photostream, search on Flickr "Harald Haeusler Tirol" for more. These photos have been taken almost 30 years ago. They are not simple point-and-shoot photos, but part of a real person's life. He has seen something through the lens of his camera and has chosen to share it with us. Somehow, i prefer them to the beautiful "professional" compositions. Danke, Herr Hausler! :)

Great song haven't heard it in years, I spent a lot of time in Mayrhofen when I was younger and went back last year ski-ing. I didn't realise how much I missed the place. I recognise some of the photo's from when I used to walk in the mountains around the ziller valley. Stilluptal is very scenic and I think some of the photo's were from there, at least they look like they were. I have a stream on Flickr too with some photos of Mayrhofen from February last year
