Holy crap. I never thought I'd find any performances from the 80s- this was one of the best shows we ever put together (I liked it better than the "Fiddler on the Roof" show we did). Thank you for putting this up, it brought back all sorts of memories!
I loved the 'Fiddler on the Roof' show. You guys rocked. I was in the Andress H.S. band that year, and we played 'Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra'. I think. Do I have the years right? I loved competing against Coronado, although you always PWNED us in the concert season.
1988 was West Side Story and 1987 was Fiddler, if I'm remembering that right (I know those were my junior/senior year shows- sophomore year was the Aloha Bowl with the western/Texan-themed show). Best part of the Fiddler show was definitely the bottle dance at the end! I think I liked West Side Story better because it was more familiar at the time. Wasn't it Andress that had the Phantom show one of those years?
Yeah, the bottle dance was epic. Yes, Andress did Phantom in 1988. I wasn't there, but my brother was. I'm sorry I missed it. That was my favorite Andress show. But at least I got to do CATS!!!!
We did play 'Young Person's Guide' in '87. We played 'Festive Overture' the year you did 'Cowboys Overture'. I had an EPIC pant change fail at district finals. Did you see me?
I remember this show. I was in the drumline playing tenors. Losing to Andress was heart breaking but they were the better band and drumline that night. But we got them at EPISD on Thanksgiving, taking Drumline and Grand Champion.

Gotta love those uniforms and the guard! And the trumpet salute at 2:16!

Andress placed first. It was pretty close. Coronado at the end of their show had a person stop too soon which made everyone bump into each other.
