Fuck Nexus, fuck Miz, fuck Vicki, fuck Jericho, fuck Cody Rhodes, fuck Alberto, fuck CM Punk....Heenan, Flair, and Perfect were the best, coolest heels ever in WWF history
@MrDirkDaring Ric left WCW mainly due to disagreements with management. When he came to the WWF Vince McMahon told him if he was ever relegated from the main event he could ask for his release at any time. Once Flair became semi-main WCW had changed management and offered him a massive contract, which he decided to take them up on. I don't think he'd even been working under contract at the WWF, just a verbal agreement with Vince.
@lsvtecb18c1 2001 - a track covered by Phish all the time - they play it a little different, but it is 2001: A space Oddysey theme. Greatest into music ever, except for maybe.... the Midnight Express who's music was also used when the Maryland Terrapins came out at the old Cole Field House (why i might have went to school there), then when we moved to new building they switched to a Rave theme - ironically the greatest drug song of all time is played religiously at almost every NFL and NCAAvenue
@y2johnnie Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig was AWA World Champ right before he came to WWF. It's forgotten now, but at the time it was the #3 title in the wrestling world behind WWF and NWA.
i grew up only watching wwf and had no idea at the time who Ric Flair was and remebering thinking to myself who is this grandpa who just won the title
Woooooooooooo, the dirtiest player in the game scores again, we're not the kind of guys to say we told ya so but we...told ya so!!! Nice drunk appearance by Scott Hall, hey yo Ric, should I drink the JD or the JB...survey says...both!!!!

0:47 the one cut away where people are putting thumbs down. then when you go back to the main shot everyone is cheering. yet they dubbed in canned boos
Macho Man disliked this video, by the way... Razor should have come to steal the betl cause u know... ITS GOLD... would have started a good fued with Flair.
These were the golden days of the WWF. I'm surprised the walls didn't implode from all of that awesomeness. Bobby Heenan, Mr Perfect, Ric Flair, and Razor Ramon in the same room. Damn. Nowadays I'm supposed to take Cena and the Nexus over them? bullshit
flair is hilarious in this check out the woo when he smells the rose absolutely classic stuff shame to see how dull the guys of today are. flair, perfect, heenan and razor have more charisma between them than the entire wwe today!
@landrykkb....they then re-did the match later on that evening. This is the only known time that this has happened in WWF history i believe. Ric Flairs's title loss to Bret Hart later that year wasnt even aired on WWF TV because the match was considered terrible. Ric Flair even said in a shoot interview that the one and the half years he spent in WWF in 91-93 was pretty much "forgettable".
@landrykkb.....Macho and Flair were, in the middle of their match, ordered back to the dressing room, apparently Mcmahon had told Flair that he wanted him to work Macho's leg during the match, but flair wasnt doing it. Razor Ramon had just debuted in the WWF at the time and saw the whole thing happen backstage and commented on a shoot interview later that he saw Mcmahon chewing Macho Man's ass out and said when he saw that, he knew he better stay straight in the WWF or he was gone.
Yes kids the title used to mean something, and Ric Flair was and is your wrestling God. How anybody can watch what they put out now, I'll never know, but this sure was awesome.
@MaxAime could't agree more...why cant the powers that be (vinny mac) not see that the title has been devalued in so many ways.....i could go on forever with this./..pisses me off
all these years later i still have a real problem with hebners slow ass count. savage wasnt moving, shoulders squarely on the mat, pinning predicament and hebners like 1.... "shit i need to remember to pick up milk on the way home" 2.... "i wonder if theres a new falcon crest on tonight" 3. wtf?!?
I didn't think there were walls that could contain the awesomeness of Ric Flair, Mr Perfect, Razor Ramon, and Bobby the Brain Heenan. That room should be a national treasure.
NOW THATS A CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE NOT LIKE THE ABOMINATION WE HAVE NOW. NOT TALKING ABOUT THE WHC TITLE I AM TALKING ABOUT THE WWE TITLE. THE WHC HAS CLASS STYLE AN HONOR.
Ric was a very Entertaining champion in WWE/F back in then. His Royal Rumble performance was one of the best performances I have ever seen but he didnt draw as bigger numbers as Hulk and later Austin and Rock. His Tenure in WWE/F wasnt a washout he was a brilliant heel and done what was required.Should have stayed longer or better still gone to WWE earlier.
