  • What a wonderful piece of music by a great composer! It can be played intimately and gently, as here, or robustly - each with excellent effect.

  • reminds me of the string section in quadrophenia

  • No coincidence it's 5:15 long then ;)

  • amazing

  • Graceful, superb music. And yet there is something very intimate about it. Wonderful.

  • sounds a bit like pachelbel's canon, no?

  • It was composed about eleven years BEFORE Pachelbel's canon ... The base of F. upon a gnd. is "D A B F# G A" and Pachelbel's canon is the same, but with the adition of an "D G" between the G - A ... Althought this fantasy isn't a canon, it has a lot of canonic and fugal passages/ textures ... and, in my opinion, is much more cheerfull than the canon...

  • @ahgblopes I am shocked

what do you think about overtur from king arthur ?

  • @herblore No.

  • Simply marvelous. It gives me such a peaceful state of mind, very relieving.
