  • what are the disadvantages of having Lite edition rather than live?please answer!

  • @adam12345678891023 Live Lite limits you to 8 midi/audio tracks and 4 audio plug-ins total. Also, imported audio files/samples need to be converted to WAV in advance.

  • 3:36 <3

  • im still trying to figure ableton out...im a reason 3-4-5 guy.

  • @infinite5150 i was too. when i discovered ableton and its simplicity esp for house music. i am sold. havent touched reason in a while. IMO reason was relaly good fro hiphop but the sound/banks werent just cutting it for me. though alor danse was made on reason

  • is it wrong to say i think it sounds better than the original at 3:35 :D

  • Fucking sick man sound sick

  • Please man how did you do the sound at 0:43?

  • @alfajumper The wooshing sound is a white noise generator passing through a filter. If you're asking about the drum hit then I don't know haha

  • great remake! please check mine when you have a chance! :D

  • Song, why u no go on forever?

  • srry you still c'ant do it better than #deadmau5

  • Fucking amazing. Do you make your own tracks?

  • sound like a award winning remake straight away!

great job! and thx for sharing the midis and presets!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, I did a remake of this myself. You should check it out. I posted the Reason file and what not too. Good job on the remake!

  • just got ableton live 8 and I was thinking about doing this. Glad it isn't frowned upon. I think reproduction is a great way to learn. It's how I started out on guitar. sweet post!

  • Is there a name for those white noise fade in/out thingys at the bottom. I'd like to get some samples. What should I look for, or is it easier just to create them?

  • @nikeschnd You can create them. Grab an Analog in Ableton and turn both oscillators off and use the noise generator to create a clip. Then use the built in envelope control to raise the pitch through the clip.

You can then duplicate and reverse the clip and join the 2 together or use the reverse reverb technique. (Google it if you don't know it.)

  • I just wanna know how to make the snare.

  • very nice, personally like it better than the originl O.o! how much is live lite?

  • @joshuaras1 its free but it deletes its self after 30 days

  • Amazing job man, love it. It's clipping heaps at around 1:35 though

  • Would you mind telling me where you got those white noise samples? Or did you make them?

  • that's my deadmau5 favourite track, it's so beautiful

  • Can somebody tell me how to open midi files on reason and how to play tehm bcuz when i go to import midi files just the conbinator comes up but no sound comes out im a noob and wanna learn

  • AWESOME ! I LOVE THAT ! :)

  • Perfect!

  • eargasm worthy song lol :)

  • thumbs up for your sir, this was awesome!

  • awesome man, very accurate lead synth. think it should be slowed down a bit and the drums are slightly off (but thats very hard to replicate perfectly) but great job.

  • shud it not be a slower tempo? really good!!

  • Sick man, that sounds crazy awesome!

  • holy fuck good job, sounds almost the same :D

  • awesome dood!!!

  • It gave me goosebumps just like the orignial.. That means you did it right! :D *THE REWARD IS EXCELLENCE!!!!* Hahaha. But seriously man, I would love to cover this song on Fruity Loops but I can't tell what notes are used.. Do you think you can tell me the notes around 3:36 to about 3:41? (Not rhythms, just notes). If I could recreate the drop, I would listen to it allllllll day! Cheers! :D

  • That drop gave me goosebumps, this is a fantastic remake

  • That drop <3

  • The best cover on YouTube!

  • HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • insane shit man, really good work.have you done any tracks that you wrote cos this is spot on!!!

  • Where do you get the rev sort of FX from?

  • u should make a version with the instrument from 5:05 onwards, that beat is awsome!

  • Brilliant, you nailed it. I think you need work on the organ a little bit though.

  • where can i find the noise's i mean whooosh effect

  • @muratviakabakusak Do you still wanna know how to do the whoosh effect?

  • hands Down Bro !! Good job on this

  • deadmause made this son using entirely strobe vsti, you didn't use it at all, :p

  • @esebarreto different preferences man

  • @esebarreto Deadmau5* and you know the vst is just a plug in synth? you can get the same sound with minimoog or any synth for that matter

  • Well who's a clever cunt then............

  • good work mate!

  • Nice

  • Not even close to Deadmau5 but i salute your try.

  • am really inspired by this tutorial :P check my channel for my versions, all critics accepted. Thanks :D

    Thomas Michel

  • This question might be outta nowhere.. x3

But for some reason I can't add midi files? I don't really know the program that well, and can't really find anything about it on youtube or the internet, or in help.. o-o

I can put them in there, and I can see them, but live lite wont play them?

I hope someone can help :x

  • very very nice remake, original is still the best, but thats obvious. hehe. great work!

  • perfect nice !!

  • piano is very wrong?

  • The actual song was done with FXpansion's Strobe, hence the name...

  • Wow :)

  • tHEIll ap8pARenT XsoundbLazeAir cOl pr0(8)0gdREaM

  • I'm curious as to how you got the sweeps. Did you actually make it, or is it a sample?

  • @cesarol911

You can either make it by creating a noise ocillator and controlling the filter freq or just use an sample

  • nice work!

    check this :)

    /watch?v=wlN3ja_MEpw

  • Shit this is good!

  • the beat at 0:45 sounds to hard. i would've gone a bit smoother, since it is prog house/trance. thumbs up for making this anyways

  • 3:33 BEAST MODE

  • very good.

  • this is ridiculously good

  • i'd like to hit the "like" button a thousand times but I can't! well done!

  • i'd like to hit the "like" button a thousand times but I can't! well done!

  • go make ur own stuff loser

  • @Daluxer You're a fucking dumbass.

  • @blackpepper808 No you are.fucking douchebag

  • @Daluxer Absolutely im a douche, to people who are stupid. Electronic music REVOLVES around people remixing eachothers work, and even using sounds others have created. Half the sounds you hear by any producer you like he probably got from a pack that he downloaded. Go hate somewhere else. This kid is just trying to get better.

  • @blackpepper808 Yea i agree with that remixin stuff,but deadmau5 surely doesnt download any soundpackets..And well,it is not even a remix !:(

  • This is a Impossible Work man its just amazing Congrats!!

  • Fucken chingonaa

  • I love this song

  • That's freaking great. You nailed the drop. Proper.

  • Do you guys teach yourselves how to use these programs or what..cuz I just downloaded one off the internet I can't figure these things out..what is a good beginner friendly program to use?

  • Hey i use reason quite a bit, did you create all the synths on Reason? And did you have to play all of the song or did you click and toss??

  • Bloody hell, as a producer myself, this is one of the most difficult songs in my opinion to get down right and you absolutely nailed it. Well done, this is true class!

  • @agolakchub Thanks! Go check out the follow-up video that covers the full track. I've also uploaded the project files for people to mess with.

  • @theINSIDEout001 Sick. Thanks, I hadn't seen that. I look forward to your other productions as well - perhaps Deadmau5' brilliant tune October? Take care buddy.

  • @agolakchub Shows how untalented you house people are if you think this is hard :p

  • @Ex0rz Do it better then :P:P:P

  • @eXtr3meb0y I knew you would tell me to do it better. Been producing around a year now. Note that im not going to produce shitty music such as house and dubstep is a lot harder to produce :p Soundcloud/ex0rz (.com)

  • @Ex0rz hey bro guess what....soundcloud/rouge-genesis....bitch! you'll like my dubstep trust me

  • @matthewm04 you dont even have music on ur page dude...wait til i get my dub up!

  • @matthewm04 Nice beats and bassline :) However the melody @ who knows? sounds horrinble atleast to my ear :D too blippy :( Btw amazes me that not a single actual house producer actually answered me :P

  • @Ex0rz thanks

  • @agolakchub same here

  • @agolakchub it starts off at like 88 BPM, then goes up to 128,

    this song is soo hard,

have u ever tried remaking october?

  • @rempleforskin I have been so busy with my career, I have not had a chance - then again, it is probably incredibly tough!

  • near perfect remake my friend. now all you have to do is find your own style, you have the skill to back it up, start writing your own music

  • DAYUM!! This shit is FIRE!

  • Awesome!

Great work. Its a difficult song.

  • Im Sry to say that but thats NOTHING compared to my remake :D

nah - jkn - well done my friend!

But u made the same mistakes i did too :)

check out my remake ;) /watch?v=yyf0IhiVuQo

  • awesome job. i think the lead synth needs a little more reverb around 2:00 but other than that, fantastic!

  • wats reason 4?

  • N1 ! :DD

  • u r awesome !

  • MASTERFUL!!!! LUV IT! ur the king of covers! woah!

  • i think it's slighty faster than the original version, but anyway that's really great

  • why change something thats perfect? Still nice job...

  • its just wrong to change such a perfect song...

  • so good.

  • this is very good!!!

  • dude change up some synths and add your own melody and youve got a sick remix on your hands. big ups man great job!

  • nice but the first drums are a bit scarry...nice work though!

  • Really nice. How did you make the beat?

  • why would u want to remake what is perfect ?

  • @SherbiXXX to learn! :D

  • @SherbiXXX Thats wat us producers do for fun....lol...check my page even...1 remake so far...the rest are originals.......but guaranteed, the remake of joe jackson's "steppin out" that I made will surely bring you back to the good old vice city days..enjoy! :D

  • @SherbiXXX Same reason people learn other people's songs on real instruments... to show creative appreciation. What shows more true love for a song than taking the time n' effort to actually learn it note for note?

  • @SherbiXXX Because its hard to get perfect.. once u got perfect on a track theres no reason not to get perfect on all ur tracks

  • @SherbiXXX remaking songs is a great way to teach yourself how to do the techniques that the producer of the original song used, and can boost your confidence when you realise that you can achieve the same sounds as any multi-million-album-selling producer can.

  • @P0cketfull0fsunshine True, but the quality of this isn't a scratch on the original.

  • @SherbiXXX Egoboost?

  • AMAZING TRACK check my remix of deadmau5 not exactly (guru's mixxx) !!

    youtube.com/watch?v=j-JM2--lDOs

  • Amazing work mate. Which synth did you use to make the main melody?

  • ok, this is amazing.

im going to get some software like this but i cannot decide between ableton, FL studio or whatever else there is. I see he's used two different ones, does anybody know why? (100% beginner here :P)

  • that's almost the same nice work ! the filtering on the initial kick sounds out of place and the backround synth is dodgy anmd also the white noise should be sidechained, but the main synth is almost spot on 8.5/10 nice work keep it up !

  • best drop in the fucking world

  • You deserve major props for remaking, of all songs, strobe. I mean, sure, people can easily remake To Play Us Out, but Strobe, I mean, c'mon. That's pretty amazing.

  • nice use of delay 2:44 reverb and cool eq better that deadmau5

  • the only real noticeable difference is it sounds like a different kind of piano/keyboard, but still, great job!!

  • i swear this is deadmau5's project file?

    it's so similar.

  • awesome work.....keep it up!

  • nice

  • awesome stuff bro! im sure your a genius on your own original production. keep it up!

  • great thought, i only miss the mixing :(

  • awesoem job mate. good effort!

  • needs sidechain.

  • @nick20200 wait.... i didnt work it out, i looked in the description

  • This is awesome :) What did you use reason for? I'm starting out in using reason and I'd like to know the lengths the synths can go to soundwise by checking out some videos. And if you did use reason what synth did you use within reason?

  • @Olie23231 lol you asked what reason did twice but dw :P. Ive been playing around with ableton for two days now and ive worked out he used all his synths ,except one, with reason. If you want to know how good reason is....its f*cking awesome XD reason rewired into ableton....one bad mofo combo

  • @nick20200 Thanks man haha :)

  • dam this is sick. btw what part did you use reason for?

  • nice work man. truly impressed

  • please, do you could send a file. rar on MegaUpload or Rapidshare Sylenth1's VST Plugin?. I've searched all over the Internet and I can not. I appreciate all the life, men

  • this is great man. what synths and effects were you
