    thanks

  • Where do you buy your ingredients? Specifically where can I purchase your vitamin E oil?

  • Thanks for all of your videos! I enjoy watching them! I bought some ivory shea butte and I noticed that it has a crisco smell. It also smells like playdoh (clay). Is this how shea butter is supposed to smell? Thanks!!!

  • @GLoDowns No, shea utter is suppose to have a very nutty smell, some people don't like the smell so some companies put it through a process to get rid of the smell, but a lot of the good stuff is lost too.

  • @MultiTwiglet Thanks!

  • I love your video can you please email me the ingredients and where do you purchase your products please email njovan01@hotmail.com. Thanks

  • can u eat shae butter? cause i was finna make some pancakes but we aint go not oil or no butter in the crib...and i aint finna waste no gas goin to the store cause i need that lil bit of gas to get to work monday ya feel me

  • @KelferMookie yes u can cook with shea butter...its actually healthier than other oil, aside from olive

  • Please, let me know how the cream looks like after the modification. it's not easy to make the cream as she mentioned in this video. this is my 2nd attempt :-|

  • Hi, I have made exactly same way following your method but instead of water, I used Aloe vera gel juice (I keep in refrigerator) and Rose Geranium floral water. I also used following oils: avocado, perilla seed carrier oil, jojoba and apricot kernel. however, I end up with liquid oil cream :( I used a hand blender). Please, let me know what I did wrong. Thank you :)

  • @OOMMAINSTAR looks like we made the same mistake. I used jojoba/apricot for my oil mix, but also used a hand blender, I think it's adding to much air. I've got tiny little open spots (bubbles?) in my mix. Im going to melt the product down and then let cool and use a stick blender (still dont have a regular blender) Its that or the fact that there is more oil then water in the recipe. That was the only other option I could think of, add 1/3 more water/juice so the mix is 50/50

  • I made this recipe but I must have done something wrong. This cream is not light, it's VERY oily and just sits on my skin, an hour later, and my skin still feels greasy and oily. The only thing I did differently was to mix the oil and water while it was warm with the bowl sitting in another full of ice to cool it down. And I used a hand mixer instead of a blender (dont have one) Can I reheat everything and use a stick blender? Should I wait for that mixture to cool before I use the blender?

  • Hey where do you buy your oils from?

  • HI Duchess - I am wondering what type of wax you use to emulsify? I have been using beeswax with almond oil, cocoa butter & coconut oil. Although I really like my product, I find the stickiness of the wax all over the basin of the sink & tub. Do you think maybe I am using too much oil, or is it the beeswax? Thank you so much for sharing your brain!!!! I really appreciate how open and giving you are with your knowledge.

  • Habari gani, Duchess! Where do you get your macadamia nut oil, grapeseed oil, emulsifying wax, etc.? Can you give web site links? Also, can you repeat what you use as a preservative? ...something koka?

  • Your great! Loved this video.Thank you. I used Aloe Vera and Coconut Oil before (not at the same time) but found out that they are not good for for my blood type (B+) although I used them all the time when I was growning up in the Carribean.

The Aloe Vera is called Cerese "back home".

    Will gives this a try.

  • That was Great! Thanks a lot! Where do you get all you bulk products? I live in Ontario, Canada... any tips?

    thanks,

    Tim

  • @YankeeChapleau ..Hi Tim, I think all the vendors I mention under the 'Black soap shampoo" video ship to Canada. Online purchases might be your best bet, I think. Hope that helps.

  • @YankeeChapleau

Hey Tim, not to be a product shill, but i love all the kynk products they carry a range of ultra natural products - AND fair trade raw shea.... If you are in the GTA, noah's carries most of their range, but they ship also. It is a GTA based company and their products (from raw shea to shampoo) are amazing and high quality. I dislike the other cdn brands that sell the refined shea products... check out their site hope you find it useful!

  • can you wear this under make-up?

  • @HeavenlyAngyles Oh yes! I do it all the time. It is absolutely meant for it. Moisturize with the cream then apply make up as you would normally...

  • hey, were do yo get your oils from and glycerin

  • Hey all, I too had many questions and fortunately found her video that gives the recipes. However, youtube is not allowing me to post the link. The name of the video is "Shea Face Cream Ingredients" and it is posted by the same youtuber, DuchessGabrielle. Enjoy :)

  • @mfpaye Thanks for that. I have been having a hard time getting this info out...

  • Great video. How much water do you use? Also, could you post the recipe because I could not understand some of what you were saying. Thanks.

  • Can you please tell some store names or online stores from where I can buy the raw ingredients you used in your recipe?

  • hi i love your videos! i just purchased Argan oil from a company named AAA Shea Butter have you heard of this oil or and company. I would really like to know what you think.

  • Hey, I find your video very informative. Where do you buy those natural oils?

  • Hey, I find your video very informative. Where do you buy those natural oils?

  • I love it, by the way , you have a very nice body :)

  • Hey there, i was researching a little about Cosmocil - the preservative you mentioned. What i found is this: PLEASE NOTE: this preservative cannot be used in beeswax-borax emulsion systems nor in natural liquid soaps. It will harden, and become gooey brown.´´

Did you face this problem while using together with beeswax ?

  • You are such an inspiration! I have never heard of the things you mention in your video :S Would you mind writing down the recipe? :) Pretty please :D

    Love from Sweden

  • nice job my hands are very very dry i will try it

  • I going to make a batch of this face cream for my family..my children have eczema. Can you please tell me the name of your natural preservative and also the silky white powder that was used. Thanks for your tutorials

  • Asante sana for your hard work and sharing! You have been so helpful

  • Really helpful

  • Could you write the ingredients with exact measurements? I'm from Chile, thank you very much.

  • Could you please make a mixture with the African yellow butter that can be used for the hair and face? Thank you!

  • are u from east africa?

if so....which country in that region ? :)

purple looks great on ur skin tone btw :))

  • I thank God for you! I've experimenting with making my own hair and body products this year and the only thing I've yet to fine is moisturizer recipe. I've been using grapeseed oil and most of the time it works fine but tho my skin is the oily type I sometimes get oily looking dry patches if that makes any sense.lol But I think its because my face needs water as well and your concoction may be just what my skin has been waiting for. Thanks for making this video as well as the black soap video!

  • @TheEntertainmentBiz...Awaaaah....Thank you... I appreciate that. Good luck with you concoction...hope it works out superbly!

  • please what is the preservative that you use? I could not tell. Please spell the name. Thank you.

  • @TheBeautygarden..Cosmocil...And you only need a little so it is very economical...

  • I wanted to know where did you order all your supplies. I need a good place where the products and oils are good quality.

  • @lumina6045..I change my suppliers a lot for this reason. Under my Black soap moisturizing shampoo, I have a list of vendors that I like. I will see where to put this list on my page so everyone can have access to it....hope this helps..

  • I love your videos. I will try out this one and provide feedback. Thanks!

  • @mmorrellwilson...Thanks and I would love to hear how you formulation went.....

  • thanks so much for this video! i've just made myself a batch and tried it earlier this morning and i'm already in love. first application and my skin is already glowing like i had natural highlights. :) please upload more skincare concotions! :D im a fan!

  • @AnythingShimmery...Great! I am glad it was helpful....People are amazed when I tell them I make most things I use on my body and hair......It is so rewarding to know you are only putting the purest of nature's gift on your temple...Yaaaay!

  • I'm just like you...I like to get every drop of product as I measure!!! :D

You have great tutorials! The best on YT.

  • @ltcartwright1976 ...Thank you.. I appreciate that. I am very poor at eye balling so I just go the other way!

  • that is too much to do lol .. how bout i buy a jar from you =)

  • @msgigglesbaby ....I know what you mean...Sometimes even I get lazy....I might sell it someday.....I don't know....right now I am just experimenting....

  • Thank you so much! I just purchased 25 lbs of shea butter and I'm looking for as many tutorial as possible so I can incorporate what I need. Can you do a shea butter body lotion tutorial?

  • @ttdean.....Thanks hun! For that, all you would have to do is increase a liquid oil or the water phase so the consistency of the end result is more liquid and flowy. It's tricky though because you have to still balance everything else. I will see if I can a lotion once I am finished with this batch.

  • Hi Gabrielle, are you still in Nairobi? I miss your videos!!

  • @matawa08....Hi there..that is so sweet. Thank you! I am back now and will do more videos soon. Is there something you would like to request?

  • is this cream good for oily face?

  • @whatoyou...Mostly my face is dry so it will be heavy for oily face. You could swap the liquid oils for oils that are more for oily face like flaxseed oil, rosehip oil or grapeseed oil. These will be moisturizing but not oily hence perfect for oily and acne prone skin...Hope this helps

  • How much Cosmocil did you use?

  • I learn so much from your videos... great job hun!

  • @MenacingAngel...Thank you I appreciate that!

  • Hi, like your videos , very informative.

However, Though you get your products from africa (lucky you!) , it could be great if you can give a reference to where actually to buy the shea butter .That will really help a lot for your watchers .

Thanks! and keep on making this fantastic video

  • @mishmish8500 ...Thanks a lot. I have began looking into sellers here in the US. I will buy a small sample from a few that I like then make a recommendation once I test the butters. This way at least I can advise. I think this is the best approach....

  • Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to your next video's.

  • I am really excited to try this shea cream recipe! I have a few questions, can I use a hand mixer instead of a blender? Also approx how long (shelf life) do you think this mixture will last w/ the Cosmocil? Thanks so much for all of your wonderful and helpful vids! :)

  • @ValleyGirl38....If you use a preservative, it will last like any other store bought cream. However, I will advise to experiment in small batches because a simple miscalculation could shift the balance of the ingredients and facilitate the product going rancid much faster. I am on the final stretch of this batch and no issues with it

  • your so beautiful!

  • @iChenda...Aaaaaw...thank you.. I appreciate that!

  • what kind of wax did you say you used? You said it so fast, I missed it. Great tutorial mama!

  • @joanolisa1...Oopsy, sorry. I get that a lot (I speak too fast). I used E-Wax which is short for emulsifying wax, specially formulated for mixing oil and water...You can use regular bee's wax though I like the E-wax better.

  • what is the name of the preservative you used? i can't make it out ...thanks :)

  • I didn't get the name of the preservative u used to keep the cream from going bad...can u name it please. Thanks for sharing :)
