  • yeah but its good rule of thumb to preheat all the time you can loose compression over time if you strain your engine so what what is 3 seconds of preglowing to make your engine last 700,000 miles my 240d has 310,000 miles on it becuase i have always preglowed my engine and the previous owners did to

  • when the engine is warm like that, can you not just jump in and turn the key to start...I dont do it often but if my 300d is warm I never wait for glow plugs..good compression ;) nice 220d! I like old school!

  • @joegolden48 Oh yeah, when the engine was already warn I just turned the key, pulled the knob and started her up. Just in the morning when the engine was cold is when I have to pre-glow. I just pre-glowed in this video to demonstrate the use of the "pull knob" Thanks! any pics or videos of you 300D?
