I haven't seen the new movie yet, but the Red Skull from 1990 is gonna be hard for Weaving to top. The only problem with the old old red skull is that he's only red at the beginning (and looks crummy at the beginning where he is the red skull), but Scott Pauline was fantastic he was the best part of the other movie.

@mdkuhne1 There are different multiverses on how the Red Skull became the Red Skull. I completely believe you, Hitler gave him the mask to be his "Perfect Nazi". But I guess the producers just decided to go with a different one.

@mdkuhne1 the give nod to the mask by simple what you saw in the film. Had they gone with the actual comic book version, which would have been just as good, they fear that audience would not be able to sit through a 2 hour and 45 minute comic book film. The explanation in the film is kinda like a movie liberty mixed with a crash course of the 616 Skull.
